An inner city suburb along the water, Glebe has a deep-rooted sense of cultural history and heritage. It originated as a semi-rural resort for the well-to-do, but has transformed into a student-centric melting pot. Visit Glebe Point Road for ethnic cuisine as standard as Mexican, Indian, Italian and Chinese, or as diverse as Spanish, Bavarian, Polish, Czech and Lebanese. You will find that Glebe is accepting of the eccentrics and aboriginals that roam the streets, integrating students and people of all economic statuses into the multi-cultural fabric that distinguishes this suburb. Glebe Foreshore is a great destination for a leisurely walk along the Bay, and the Saturday market is a great scene for bargain hunters.
We stayed in a place close to this park. I'm seriously impressed that no matter which part of the day you walk through this park, there is always someone exercising. Always! That's so mesmerising. But the park is also very nicely being taken care off, and there is a lot of sports equipment, so I understand.
Hands down the best massage place in Sydney. The booking was easily done with no hassle. I had a body scrub & oil massage with Ai. She was very prefessional & courteous. My partner had a remedial massage from Sa, the owner who was extremely professional & highly skilled. We left rejuvenated!!!
Will definitely book in again next week :)
As a licensed massage therapist who operates a private practice in New York City, I apply the highest standards when I myself receive a massage.
Top massage therapists know an amazing massage is not just about techniques, there is much more to it than that. Gerald delivered his AMAZING massage with quality and intuitive touch: he was fully present, and...
We were pleasantly surprised by this local restaurant. Living nearby we had never actually been there before and were very happy with the lovely meal.
The staff were attentive and polite, thoughtfully turning down the music, I do like a peaceful atmosphere to eat in!
The food was delicious, service quick and helpful. I could not fault it.
I have lived in Glebe for a long time but I have only attended this restaurant twice. Both times the food was decent without any real wow factor. We tried the slow roasted lamb as per recommendation, unusual nut/dukkah on top and a little dry. Overall the quality is pretty good, and without any Greek competition in Glebe they have...
While not cheap, the food was excellent! We tried the oysters (one of each of the kinds available) and the signature Fish Pie.... all were fantastic! I also had this amazing Mocktail that was sweetness in a glass.
The view is beautiful even if the building is unassuming from the outside. Street parking is a little tricky, but worth it.
This place is ok, it was clean, the bed comfy and the location great for what I wanted. To charge at extra $15 for parking and then $100 as a deposit even though you pay in advance with Booking.Com is unacceptable to me. I probably won't stay again.
By far the worst hostel I’ve stayed in Australia, me and my girlfriend got put in a room then got separated, the rooms we got put in was horrendous bathroom filthy, stinking plates, cutlery everywhere ,hygiene is non existent. Do yourself a favour guys and pay a little extra because i wouldn’t even pay $5 for this place
