The 18th district is the most inconspicuous of the listed neighbourhoods. Where else can you still watch card players at a Viennese coffeehouse, or listen to authentic Viennese folk songs with a local audience? Like most respected Viennese neighborhoods, Währing has its own street market, Kutschkermarkt, where you can best feel its pulse. One of Währing’s loveliest outdoor destinations is the small garden palace and museum Geymüllerschlössel. The exquisite 19th century interior is spiced up by contemporary art installations curated by the Museum of Applied Arts / Contemporary Art (MAK).
Beautiful park, worth visiting in any season. Near the main entrance there’s a huge playground, including a beach volleyball court and 2 football pitches. The upper part of the park is quieter, lots of benches are provided.
It is not easy to get there, this small palace is far away from the city centre. If you have no car with you, best to take a taxi. Inside you can see a lot of Biedermeier furniture, clocks, pictures, etc. Outside is a nice garden, good to for a picnic in summer.
The service is absolutely top class. Genuine care for the clientele and couldn't be more helpful and welcoming with a smile and infectious positive vibe. The food was fantastic. Great service, they just have a set menu of 5 courses where you can choose only dessert or cheese, on top you get...

"A good brewery and restaurant"

I have frequented this restaurant since my student years, which was really a long time ago, so I'm a regular here. It is a very nice place with a beautiful garden.
Beer is excellent and there is a wide range of pub food (the only thing I miss is the "Stelze", which I would be happy to have with a...
This is a very nice small hotel in a convenient location. Room is small but very comfortable, clean and quiet. Breakfast was excellent. Staff very professional and helpful. Internet seems overloaded as it dropped us off repeatedly in some busy times.
This was a good hotel with excellent location for many years, but in Summer 2019 it was demolished, so don't try to make a reservation here!
The hotel has also been clkosed for many months, so shouldnhave been removed from the TA listings.
