Vasastan is one of those neighborhoods that almost looks too good to be true. It has the winning combination of a central location, tranquility, and beautiful buildings – housing sophisticated bars and eateries – that makes this neighborhood Stockholm’s most sought-after place to live. If walking through this area makes you feel like walking through a fairy tale or picture book it’s no surprise, as it’s actually the film set of the famous Swedish children story Karlsson-on-the-Roof. No matter what season, Vasastan manages to impress in the sunshine, covered in snow and won’t even lose its charm when soaked in rain.
Stockholm City Library was created by world-famous architect Gunnar Asplund. The library has been listed as one of the world's most beautiful libraries.
The facade is beautiful. The rotunda with a tall cylinder gives the exterior monumentality. The rotunda is also the most striking part of the interior.
The library was officially opened in 1928 by Prince Eugen.
Sven-Harry is a real person who decided to display his private art collection in a museum in central Stockholm. In addition there are different exhibitions to experience. Sven-Harry's art is only available through guided tours, but are worth the time and expense. You can also get access to the terrace of the house with a nice view. When we visited...
"Very worth seeing in a beautiful part of Stockholm"

Carl Eldh became famous and prosperous in his own lifetime. His friend, the architect Ragnar Östberg (who designed the City Hall in Stockholm), wanted to create more or less a palace for Eldh. But Eldh was of working class descent and wanted his studio to be simple and functional. So, the rather small studio house in wood was erected at...
This is a small restaurant with Scandinavian styling and wonderfully presented, well balanced dishes. The combinations that are put on the plate are sometimes breathtaking,
sometimes more straight forward but always exquisite in taste. The service is impeccable, unobtrusive but friendly and authentic.
"If I want a story with my meal I buy a book. They understand this at Agrikultur. "

Sometimes fancy restaurants overwork their concept. They focus on food that remind me more of my chemistry lessons than actually having dinner.
At Agrikultur, located off-center, but within walking distance of subway station Tekniska Högskolan, they instead focus on the food.
I like storytelling, but if I want it with my dinner I bring a book. They get that at...
This my Third visit to Stockholm in recent years and I consider Llila Ego a must. Not be fooled by the casual decor, this is a first-rate restaurant whose food equals the best restaurants I've ever been to/ The raw tune with cauliflower and coconut was simply amazing and the pork belly with pickled endives blew my mind.
We were 5 colleagues, service and food were lovely! Atmosphere is relaxed and the waiter was super nice !
Tapas concept is one of my favorite - you get tasted many dishes at one dinner. Enjoyed a lot!
We only didn’t like fried calamari- there was something wrong in the way it was prepared (smelled chlorine, like it was boiled...
I stayed here one night on business in mid feb 20
Rooms tidy with twin bed
Ironing board located only on 4th floor - access with room key
Breakfast busy but well maintained and decent choice
Check in and out efficient
Nice lobby and low key bar
Great location in Vasastaden close to the Karolinaska Hospital complex. Free and simple parking. Well kept very traditional building mass. Good restaurant. Good rooms. Only negative is that the city is building a major traffic junction close by thus can be found complicated to find the way if coming by car. Friendly staff.
Good value hotel, rooms big enough( basically we only slept in ours). We were in a separate building to the main hotel, reception and bar. This involved a very short walk to next door but one, and a key code secured door. Staff friendly and very helpful. Come out of the hotel and turn right, you are at the top...
Only gave a 4 stars because my first room had no heating, and was not that nice. The second room was really nice with balcony. Stayed in a standard single room. Comfortable bed. The floor of the bathroom was heated. The hotel is nice and quiet. The neighborhood is also nice, far from the city confusion but close to the...
This hotel is only ten minutes walk from Central Station, and is located in a quiet square overlooking Tegnerlunden Park. Although I arrived well before check in time, the charming young ladies on reception found me a room that was immediately available. Thank you ladies! I can recommend this hotel if you need to be near the centre of Stockholm.
