Side-by-side neighbourhoods Psirri and Gazi provide some of the city’s prime nightlife. The almost claustrophobic streets of Psirri feature an interesting blend of original small businesses with the restaurants, cafés and bars that have recently sprouted up. The central artery of Agion Anargiron Street has lively places to eat or drink. Further west, you can visit the peaceful ancient cemetery of Keramikos, then cross busy Pireos Street to find yourself in Gazi. With the huge Technopolis performance and art complex converted from old gasworks at its heart, you really have to come at night to appreciate this maze of bars at its best, although a daytime stroll will allow you to admire the excellent street art.
Visited here as part of multi ticket.
Historically where ancient Greeks of note were buried. Also ruins if kilns.
Be prepared can be very hot and exposed in summer.
Little museum v good and had air con.
we had half a day/ morning to kill before the airport. so, decided to walk here. there is a neat little museum displaying the funereal artifacts. including a massive, magnificent marble bull. a lot of pictorial memento of the dead. family saying good bye to the deceased in a carved tablet. an old city remains nearby showed a population long...
For asrtistic lovers this place hosts a lot of events and exhibitions from time to time. Theres also nice music festivals and the whole area is a gem every corner and something new to see. When in Gazi dont forget to make a stop here there is always something interesting to see!
Very I interesting four stories building stuffed with ancient fragments, plates, fabrics, wooden doors and carpets. Great boards with maps. On the rooftop you can have a nice coffee with a nice view on the lively neighborhood of Psyri.
My partner and I set out to go to Cinque to pick up lunch before we carried on our day of sightseeing.
After a short walk from Monastiraki station, we found Cinque and were welcomed by who I think was the owner. My first question was "Do you offer take away?", as we wanted to eat on the move -...
What can I say except this is one thing you need to experience while in Athens. A gourmet meal with an incredible scenic view. Being a vegetarian they were able to let me have the same amazing meal except make it vegetarian. 5 course menu paired with amazing greek wines while hoisted up in the sky, and what a view....
Incredibly friendly service, amazing atmosphere, coffee, and food. My husband and I came here for our first breakfast in Greece. We ordered an avocado pie, and the Spiti Mas breakfast. We couldn't finish the HUGE pie, so our lovely host packaged it up for us beautifully, and it served as a great lunch! We could not recommend Spiti Mas more...
"The place to go for a unique and delicious dinner!"

My mother and I stumbled upon this restaurant as we were looking for a place to have dinner. The menu sounding interesting, although I wasn't sure about some of the combinations. We ordered the superfood salad and the pappardelle to share and I have to say this was probably the best food we've ever had! The salad was a wonderful...
The restaurant had a very beautiful outdoor setting at night. The service from the staff was top-notch. They also served excellent food, we ordered the grilled octopus and pork souvlaki - both were delicious.
Very well located next to the ancient sites, personalised service, very helpful staff, clean and modern rooms, with good dining options nearby, excellent breakfast. It is located on a small street, in an area that may appear a little run down, but that is because it is in the market area and it is entirely safe and we had no...

"Excellent choice to feel the heart of Athens !!!"

We spent a wonderful weekend in the center of Athens, and this hotel offered exactly what we needed.
In a stylish and cosy apartment we felt more being home than a hotel. Ideal location for both shopping and night life on foot distance. Not to mention the view of Acropolis, which is amazing.
Great breakfast, but also variety of snacks...
We stayed only for one night but found it to be in a great location and very quiet, right
around the corner from a lot of restaurants and the center of the city.
Slight problem with the taxi driver who couldn't seem to find the street right away.
Building managers were very helpful, stored our luggage for us; even called...
