Enjoy a cocktail, discover a jazz club, hit the dance floor or simply grab a beer and catch up with your friends in the street: Bairro Alto, Bica and Cais do Sodré are the core of it all. Amazing rooftops, restaurants, cafes, bars, art galleries, museums and theaters abound. Start off by admiring the river from the Santa Catarina belvedere, have a cocktail at PARK's rooftop bar, try a typical Portuguese steak, or the fresh grilled fish, at Príncipe do Calhariz, and later explore the dozens of streets full of bars and clubs! Whether you're visiting for a day or a whole week, make sure you visit Bairro Alto and its surroundings.

"Nice place to visit but you may not get a table to eat"

This is a way for a few people to sit and go get what they want from the different vendors. And then sit together. I wouldn't say it is cheap, but it's reasonable. Is it a must if you only have a few days. No not really.

This a funky place to eat. It's not cheap, but it is buzzing and beautiful and there are several restaurants, so see what you might like to eat before you book so you are seated in the right place. Was about EUROS 50/head. Including wine. Funky place. Make sure you take time to wonder around before you leave and look...
I have loved coming here for the last 6 years for the view and especially the sunsets.
It's one of the best places for a quick beer or wine on late afternoons, because there are no buildings disrupting the view of the sun, the river and the mini golden gate bridge.
It can get pretty crowded and has kind of a...
A lovely place to sit by the beautiful Tagus river and enjoy good weather.
There isn't loads to do here, but that is the charm of the place. Even if you are surrounded by tourists it feels peaceful and relaxed.
Light crusty and flaky pastry holding a sweet and warm gooey custard. A little overly sweet on its own, but with a coffee/espresso, its perfect. I’ll be having this everyday since its just up from where we are staying!
You're likely to find a line--and with good reason. Perhaps the best gelato this side of Rome. Great choice of flavors, generous scoops and dollops of whipped cream. There's also a small park across the street where you can enjoy your gelato and people-watch.
Who knew you could have cereal in a variety of ways. Myself and my girlfriend walked past the establishment a couple of days before and said we would have to give it a go and so we did. This was one of the best cereal meals I have ever tasted with a variety of combinations and mixes. We chose to...
They have so many different kinds of Portuguese wine but what makes this place so special is their friendly great service. Of course not many people will be so well informed about the local wine: you can simply tell them your preferences and they will bring you a few kinds of wine that you might like. I really felt they...
The staff at Martinhal in Lisbon were friendly, professional, incredibly helpful, and went above & beyond to provide recommendations, assist with our children, luggage and strollers, and made the stay feel hospitable and homey.
The hotel and the apartment were clean, modern, beautifully furnished and decorated, and completely accommodating.
The Kid's club was amazing! Our children had so much fun...
Loved this quirky hotel. Great location. Used a private transfer organised by them, would be hard to find first time otherwise. The staff are sensational! Probably what makes it so good. It’s clean , comfortable and cozy. Good buffet breakfast. Lots of info offered on what to see. Beds are comfortable and good size bathrooms. Lots of food and entertainment...
My significant other and I stayed at the hotel for eight nights. It was our first trip to Lisbon and a good stopping off point for 4 tours. Hotel location was great. The hotel accommodations were superb and the service was excellent. Hotel concierges were wonderful in terms of general questions, dinner reservations, and even expediting getting our delayed baggage...
The hotel was amazinging and exceeded my wife and I expectations in every way. Upon check in Maria sat down with us and explained how to get around the city and some simple sights we could see quickly.
Upon check in we found a bottle of wine and chocolate brownie to celebrate my birthday. The room was also upgraded. The...
I stayed in the LX Boutique Hotel End of September. I really enjoyed staying in this little cosy hotel. It is very well located and it is easy to start to explore the beautiful city from there. Very competent and friendly staff. I can only recommend this hotel
