Bustling Albert Cuypstraat serves as the main drag through De Pijp and the location for Albert Cuyp Market, the largest and most famous of Amsterdam’s many outdoor markets. Beyond this sometimes-frantic thoroughfare, tiny lanes beckon urban explorers in search of the latest trends and hidden gems. Nearly half the residents living in De Pijp are foreigners and a good number of them are students. Here you'll find a multitude of ethnic restaurants, great cafes and bars, and a brilliant array of locally owned shops, all catering to a broad range of budgets and tastes.
fell so relieve and relax the moment u entered the beautiful park.entertained by so many dogs who run around happily.the monumement from the famous Dr Sarphati.just sit abd let yrself absorb by the grenery.love this place.a good place to workout.
We were staying very close by to this house and so thought we would stop by to see it. It really is an absolute treasure! A large and well maintained property. The gnomes are much larger than I expected. We got some great photos of it. The area is generally very picturesque here, there is a draw bridge and a...
De Dageraad (The Dawn) is a subsidiary to the 'Het Schip Museum'. These buildings are excellent examples of the Amsterdam school style (1910 to 1930). The attention to detail, mix of material and play in form are all on display in these buildings. I loved the combinations of brickwork, stone, metal and wood in doorways. The style of ornamentation is...
I found this bench on tripadvisor so had to go and check it out. Cute little bench took a couple of pics then was on our way again. It's off of the main road in a fairly random place but if you need a 5 minute sit down x
As the weather was good last Saturday, I did the walk "Mee in Mokum" in the "Pijp" area and I found some beautiful buildings. One of them is this Building that I knew it since 26 years ago. It was once the old City hall of Nieuwer-Amstel in the past and then turned into the Amsterdam City Archives until 2007....

It is quite apt that there is a little theme of “Ab Fab”in this restaurant because it really is absolutely fantastic. I can honestly say this has to be one of the best meals at a restaurant I have ever had. So much so we applauded the chef when he came out!’
The service is great.. not pretentious, just very...
I’m not sure why I never found out about this place before.
This is the best, gooey , succulent stroopwafel imaginable.
Easy to reach with the new metro station ‘de pijp’
The guy was very pleasant and helpful and really caring despite the non-stop flow
Make sure you buy your stroopwafel from here, you won’t be disappointed
We sat at the chief table, truly an amazing night. The service, presentation and food were very close to perfect. Were able to watch the chiefs prepare the meal (tasting menu) . I would highly recommend this restaurant. You need 10 people for the chief table.
With family had a great evening at this teppanjaky restaurant, not our first, however the quality of the beef, the ‘design’ made in front of you were really good, so a real advise to go there, also try the sake with bubbels
This restaurant was recommend by the lady from whom we are renting our apartment. We were fortunate to be able to get a place for 2 without a reservation. The menu changes every two weeks. We chose the 3 course meal and matching wines. Presentation, taste and service was all excellent. The owner greeted us when the greeter found out...
This is truly a remarkable hotel. This hotel gets 5 stars in every department it is in an amazing neighborhood and close to the trendy restaurants and cafes. Thank you to Josip for making our stay one to remember. We will be back!
A great hotel with good bar and restaurant. It’s close to tram and metro links too.
Lots of cafes and restaurants nearby and a great vibe.
Rooms are well appointed and bed super comfy. Showers awesome too.
Will definitely stay again
Let me start with a compliment to the entire staff. Every single person we have met during the three days we have been staying in this hotel was friendly, helpful, efficient and professional.
The location of the hotel is very pleasant as well, close enough to the city centre to get there very easily (walking, public transport, bicycle) but far...
Small convenience hotel in a nice building. Doesn't excel at anything but is more than adequate. The location is easily walkable into town or to the main museums. The staff are friendly & helpful, it is clean & the breakfast is quite nice.
Very nice hotel with friendly staff and nice included breakfast. The location is interesting, with some good restaurants and bars around the corner, although I would not call it close to the center of Amsterdam. However, 2-3 stops on the ultra-modern metro gets you there in a flash. The one minor issue, though it was never a problem, is the...
