Bustling Albert Cuypstraat serves as the main drag through De Pijp and the location for Albert Cuyp Market, the largest and most famous of Amsterdam’s many outdoor markets. Beyond this sometimes-frantic thoroughfare, tiny lanes beckon urban explorers in search of the latest trends and hidden gems. Nearly half the residents living in De Pijp are foreigners and a good number of them are students. Here you'll find a multitude of ethnic restaurants, great cafes and bars, and a brilliant array of locally owned shops, all catering to a broad range of budgets and tastes.
De Dageraad (The Dawn) is a subsidiary to the 'Het Schip Museum'. These buildings are excellent examples of the Amsterdam school style (1910 to 1930). The attention to detail, mix of material and play in form are all on display in these buildings. I loved the combinations of brickwork, stone, metal and wood in doorways. The style of ornamentation is...
Andre Hazes was, is still, an icon, the world is missing a very talented dutch folk singer. Pretty statue, it shows Andre in his typical style, one can almost hear him belt out "Kleine jongen" (Little boy) or "Zij gelooft in mij"b(She believes in me), it does credit to the neighborhood to honor him in this way.

"Exceeded expectations "
reviewed 6 days ago by Roy B
When your expectations are high due to the recommendations of others, you are always sceptical of what might be. Thankfully Zaza's not only lived up to expectations it exceeded them. The scallops were amazing and the rib eye steak with its very unique onion was as good as you could ever hope. Washed down with a bottle of prosseco this...
what to say?? The chef with his team are painting in the dishes. Simplicity, tasty, innovation.
the service is exelent, friendly and well trained
the sommelier was a master in wine and not only
the view from the 23th floor is something which is difficult to explain.
I met the chef for a chat and I was impressed. Nice man, top...
I love Teppanyaki, so pardon me in case I’m a bit biased. However, the quality of food is definitely Michelin Star, as well as the service.
I tried the sake pairing and I loved the expertise of the sommelier explaining us all the little details of each sake.
Definitely the best of the three restaurants at the first floor of...

"Possibly the best steak i have ever had!"
reviewed 2 days ago by Anna K
Seriously I love steak, and I don't normally go for Chateaubriand as prefer sirlion for a bit of flavour, but honestly, this steak was to die for, they cook all the meat in a green egg bbq and you could taste the smokiness, the meal came with fries and bearnaise sauce and a beautifully presented picked veg/salad. defo worth booking...
Nice hotel! The people who are working there are great! There bartander makes good cocktails! It is good to have a drink there first(bar) before you go have a dinner of one of there restaurant! But my favorite is the sushi! The price is expensive though, but it is worth a try!
Sir Albert is my favourite hotel in Amsterdam.
The design aspect of the hotel, the smell inside, the rooms I could go on.
My last booking was in March 2017 but I've been after this date with friends as they've booked.
This hotel is the one we stay at and have done so for the past 3 years!
The hotel is very nice and located in a very quiet area! Our room was very warm and cleaned every day! The breakfast was delicious! The staff of the hotel was very friendly and helpful every time that we ask something from them! I will suggest it for sure to any friends who wants to visit AMS.
My wife and I stayed two nights at this boutique hotel overlooking the canal along the Stadhouderskade and next to the Heiniken Brewery. The Ibis Styles hotel is comprised of two renovated townhouses, four stories high, with an elevator. The rooms are quite small but nicely designed and comfortable. Prices include good wifi and breakfast. It's right on the #4...
The location is great, very close to the tram stop. It is situated in a residential and safe neighborhood. It has lots of shops, cafes, restaurants and even a pharmacy and departmental store nearby.
The staff was extremely sweet and helpful. They’re available 24/7 at the front desk. Rooms were clean, although a bit small. However, TV and WiFi are...
