This UNESCO World Heritage Site is as historically significant as it is perennially popular. Whether you’re a history buff, architecture enthusiast, shutterbug, or fashionista, odds are you’ll find the Amsterdam you're looking for while roaming around the Grachtengordel (Canal Ring). A brilliant place to get lost in a moody meander and a key component to any sightseeing trip to Amsterdam, this area's major draws include the Anne Frank House, the Bloemenmarkt floating flower market, an enviable assortment of independent boutiques along De Negen Straatjes, and of course all of Grachtengordel’s lovely canals and bridges.
A memory that will live with you. Many years ago we visited the Anne Frank House and we could spend longer and soak in the words of her diaries in silence. This time it is still an emotional journey but it is so crowded and the queues can be very long, so be prepared.
This channel is named after the emperor of the Roman Empire Maximilian - Emperor's Canal. Incredibly beautiful place, you can walk along the canal for hours, there are many interesting houses along the canal. In good weather, it's nice to sit in some cafe on the canal.
The channels create a general pleasant atmosphere for the city - fresh air, water, lots of parked bicycles, bright flowers, pacification, strange houses, bridges, architecture, boats and barges, boats and yachts, restaurants and cafes. Be sure to walk along the canals, and then ride on the water on a boat or boat - impressions will stay for a long time!
"One of the Greatest Dinners ever at Librije's Zusje Amsterdam"

I want to tell you how great a dinner and dinner experience we had. Your menu, the presentations, the wait staff and just the way we were treated will be remembered by us for years to come. Your staff even was kind enough to take us for a private tour of your kitchen. It was a very special treat. The...
Really important to eat the dishes as intended (together or one by one) to gain the full effect of tastes in your mouth.
The plates design was stunning, the last desert dish was phenomenal.
The only bad thing I can say is that it was hard to understand what the waiters were saying when they explained the dish.
I chose Brasserie Ambassade expressly because they had an extensive ala carte menu vs so many of the fine dining Amsterdam restaurants with only fixed menus that may not accommodate the fact I don't eat meat or poultry. The restaurant's menu is really quite extensive for all courses, and each plate we had was excellent, from the divine escargot to...
We spent 3 nights at The Waldorf and had such an enjoyable time. The Hotel is splendid, perfectly positioned, immaculately cared for and staffed by people who obviously take pride in their positions and take pleasure in offering a first class service.
We could find very little wrong (nothing in fact!) and will certainly return to this hotel again. Do...
it is the best hotel in Amsterdom as I think, we were there for 3 days it was very clean and comfortable and stuffs were very kind and freindly. breakfast is buffet and delisues. our room was alittle small but we liked there.
Stayed here for 6 nights. This beautiful, cozy hotel was wonderful. The staff are amazing, and the cocktails are inventive and delicious. In a lovely quiet area, yet within easy walking distance to everywhere you want to go. The staff takes care of everything you need, so you can just relax and enjoy Amsterdam! Well done!
I had a great stay last weekend .The staff looked after my every need the room was small which I was informed of before I went but they say great things come in small packages .the shower was amazing the breakfast was good too ill defiantly be coming back .
My wife and I stayed at the Banks Mansion while in Amsterdam. The entire experience was outstanding. Our room was very nice. The breakfast was the best of any place we stayed on our trip. The open bar and cheese and other snacks in the lobby sitting area made a great way for travelers to get together and have a...
