Very cool exploration of the microscopic world. This is a truly unique museum. Learn about bacteria and viruses. Covers everything from diseases to soil to fermentation (i.e. beer), with interactive exhibits. The olfactory (smell) display is quite interesting. I highly recommend if you are in to the microscopic world and looking through microscopes.
Wow! We spent HOURS here. We started in the Kid's section since we had our 10 & 14 year olds with us, but it was so interesting for the adults in the group, too!! It really gave a good glimpse of life in the Netherlands during the time of the occupation. Our only regret was since we spent so much...
This was my favourite zoo I've ever visited! My partner isn't a fan of seeing animals in cages but here they have an amazing layout so a lot of them are free to roam and have so much space. It makes it a whole new experience and we loved every minute of it. So glad we travelled a little out...
We really enjoy botanical gardens and this was really well done. It was January, so it was not the best time to go, but still the hothouses were worth it. There is some good signage in English and Dutch, though not everything is signed.
I imagine it is much more enjoyable on a warmer day.
I found the quiet simplicity of this memorial to the murdered Jews of the Netherlands heart-rending. I was particularly moved by the seemingly endless wall of family names of those deported from this former theater to concentration camps, and I was reduced to tears when I discovered on it the family name of one of my university professors, the son...
We went there a few times, it was right next door to our hotel. Great service every time, the same man served us, and was really friendly and welcoming. The food was really good, and the iced coffee was amazing!! Really cute presentation too.
Pretty darn good cheeseburger, but menu had so much to offer. The ginger soda helped my traveler's tummy and sitting at the bar was fine. Families outside made it seem like a friendly spot. Nice service. Not much seating (if you're in a big group and it's busy), but much appreciated lunch.
Pleasant staying. Highly recommend to visit this hotel. It's located near the city center, very convenient public transport. All the facilities are available, staffs are very friendly and helpful minded.
Arrived early on a hot day, the welcome at the reception was absolutely 5* cold drink free on arrival, sadly our room wasnt ready however we could use a bathroom and we can leave our bags, we got back at 10pm the reception is 24 hour and our bags were safe and sound. We had the triple on the ground...
Location is great, close enough to walk into the City. Easy walk to tram if you don't want to walk. Hotel quiet and clean. Friendly staff. We would return to this Hotel. Ideal for couples or family trips.
Single room with tv, sink, small bed, good wifi. Average breakfast included. Good location very close to tram 14. Friendly, helpful staff, especially Brent at night and Dennis in the day. I thank both of them.
Close to the center and the public transport stations. Clean rooms! Stairs to the bedroom dangerous. Be careful if you drink too much you may lower them in the bottom :)) The rooms are spacious for Amsterdam.
