We thought this was a brilliant idea and our 12 year old was keen to go, but when we got there it was obviously more for younger children so she changed her mind. Everything was well organised with prepared dough, photos of the equipment needed etc so children could easily put a kit together with no reading ability. There was...

From what I read, the inner garden is supposed to be quite nice. Alas this hofje is not open for tourists, however the website lists a phone number of a caretaker, theoretically one could ask for a quick visit. I do believe this hof is open on Open Monumenten Dagen (except on Sundays).
the Cameleon is a great place for small public performances, 85 people can easily fit upstairs or downstairs on chairs, but usually 60 people is good. it has a stage, light and sound installation and a cosy bar.
Mister Chi Scooter Rentals on Overtoom was a great place to find and rent a scooter at an affordable price. They are very friendly and easy going. When we got there we asked about the rental policy and within 15 minutes we were out the door with scooters.
For the bold and gutsy, the best way to see Amsterdam is...
"Great bike rental -- makes you feel like a local"
reviewed 13 November 2019 by John P
Ditch the bike rentals in the canal district area, hop on tram #11 and rent from Otto's. The bikes are great and blend in with the locals, making you feel less like a tourist. The rates are great, especially if you are renting for a week. They adjusted the seat and handlebars for my liking and provided a lock. Just...
Our meal here was great! My husband was nervous that he might not be able to eat some courses because of his dietary restrictions, but they were able to make just a few slight changes to make this an interesting and memorable experience. I am still thinking about the dessert, which is one of the best we’ve ever had (and...
What’s great dinner. Together with friends from abroad to have a shared dinner. We had great wines and tapas style dishes. All Spanish with a modern twist. We were surprised by the combinations, the flavours. Amazing staff. Super attentive. Fantastic food. It’s best to be with a group then you can taste a lot of different dishes.
Nice food, decent selection and the waitress gave us some recommendations etc. It's all fun this rainbow coloured food and great for publicity with everyone instagram'ing it.....but it was seriously overpriced. 2 Burgers and 1 chips with a drink each came to £44. Could have had steak for that (sorry vegans, you know what I mean)
We arrived in Amsterdam at a time of uncertainty due to the Coronavirus (trip was booked weeks in advance and before anything was being locked down) however, we were made to feel really comfortable.
I would definitely return when everything has hopefully blown over and explore the city and stay here again for sure! It’s pretty near the centre, there’s...
The hotel is fine, even if we expected it to be closer to the center. Anyway, it is well connected and in the neighborhood there are many nice bars and restaurants. The only bad aspect about my stay was a noisy room on the street side, that made me sleepless!
