"Superb Architecture Museum about the Amsterdam School"
reviewed 23 January 2020 by Hermes_NL
The Ship is a museum about the Amsterdam School architecture right inside a prime example of this type of architecture. It is located inside the former school part of the 1919 social housing project “Het Schip”. An hourly guided tour takes you around and jnside the building. It is also quite well possible to guide yourself around. The museum café...
A large park that contains lots of paths all across it allowing you explore so much. Very nice atmosphere on a sunny day, especially during the weekend. Depending on the weather, you might find families out walking or groups of friends hanging out or people walking their dogs. Great spot to sit in and watch the world go by
"A venue dedicated to the greatest instrument ever built"

A venue dedicated to the greatest instrument ever built
This centre gives access to an astonishing range of acoustic organ music: ancient, classical and contemporary, enriched by varying combinations of voices and instruments more or less familiar from other performing arts.
Needless to say, its organs are from different periods yet in "mint condition": several (former) church organs, a beautiful...
Our meal here was great! My husband was nervous that he might not be able to eat some courses because of his dietary restrictions, but they were able to make just a few slight changes to make this an interesting and memorable experience. I am still thinking about the dessert, which is one of the best we’ve ever had (and...
This was one of the three best restaurants on our city trip to Amsterdam. Not only our introduction the famed rijsttafel but also a great dining experience that was slow, relaxed and served as a multi course menu. Perfect with beer.
Myself and my partner visited here on 14th March amongst the whole health pandemic going on and was a beautiful experience. Food and staff were top notch. Would say best breakfast I’ve had in years. Very clean and friendly environment 10/10 from us guys. Thank you 👌🏾😉
"Local cafe - great at all times (especially lazy weekend mornings)"
reviewed 13 February 2020 by David W
Our local cafe, that we potter to time and again. Great for comfy and leisurely weekend breakfasts (if we're not out of town, we're usually slumped here on a Sat morning) but also enjoyable for an evening's drinks (and darts!) at the bar.
Friendly, good service & value and a nice mixed crowd of locals and visitors.
Short stroll from...
"Dutch Steak? I never knew it would be this good."
reviewed 2 days ago by PeteL
Before I tell you about this place let me set the scene. I love good steak and quite literally every steak house or restaurant I have even been to has never cooked it correctly, and I have been to quite a few.
My friend and I visited The Midtown Grill on 12th March 2020 for dinner. The restaurants decor is...
Gorgeous design, lovely and personal hospitality and a great location (near Vondelpark). We will definitely be back as this provides a much nicer experience that your average hotel. Smelled so good, too... Just the breakfast was pricey for what it was...

Stayed in this hotel for 2 nights. Cannot fault the staff or the room itself. Very modern furnishings and comfy beds which were perfect after a long day walking through Amsterdam. Cannot comment on the breakfast as we didn’t eat this.
Downside to some may be that it’s about 20 minutes walk from the main streets. However, this was not...
We stayed here for 3 nights in April 2019, it was ideally located for the bus stop to get into the main town and also to the train station to get to the tulip festival. Was nice to be out of the main town as a bit more peaceful! Rooms were a good size, i did think they were a...
