Brera captures the real essence of the city. It is an excellent mix between history and modernity, where tradition meets innovation. Here design and beauty reign. On Via Brera there are the famous Pinacoteca (galleries), the National Gallery of Modern and Antique Art, and the Academy of Fine Arts. Interior design boutiques and intellectual cafes are typical of the district. Walking along Via Madonnina is a must to admire the architecture of buildings and the design stores. On Sundays, going to the local market is an unmissable opportunity for fashion, style and art. Tucked away, there is the Orto Botanico di Brera botanical garden that seems like a painting framed in an ancient fairy structure. Last but not least, it’s worth a visit to Giardini Pubblici Indro Montanelli with its Planetarium, the Civico Museo di Storia Naturale (Natural History Museum).
This is one of the few galleries in Italy that was always meant to be a gallery. This means it works, the layout flows, the artwork is mindblowing and the staging of the gallery works well. There is enough room to appreciate the extraordinary artwork, both small size up close and unbelievably huge from the old palaces and palazzo's. If...
If from Garibaldi Gate you walk down Corso Garibaldi and continue into Via Mercato, you will come across this church on your left as you walk along the street. It is set back off the street and has a large square in front of it which contains an interesting black sculpture of a human torso. If you go to the...
...but it is still a nice place to visit and introduce children to the bounty of the planet and the joys that can be reaped from cultivation.
Medicinal plants have been grown here for over 200 years.

The Cusani family, manors first and then marquises of Chignolo Po in Pavese,
they bought the land from the church of Sant’Eusebio, now disappeared, to build this beautiful building with an imposing facade designed by Giovanni Ruggeri in the first two decades of the 600s.
A century later Piermarini designed the facade of the courtyard that I could not admire...

Really nice Ice Cream. Stopped for a quick coffee and got a taster portion of their vanilla ice cream which was a real surprise. Really tasty.
Price for the Espresso was really cheap plus the free ice cream it’s worth the stop.
In the beautiful Brera neighborhood we had the opportunity to get to know and delight ourselves with delicious entrees and dishes prepared with great flavor and beauty. A very special touch was being able to eat outside with the perfect and very attentive service from the waiters Pietro and Islan who were very attentive and went out of their way...
We visited this week for dinner and couldn’t fault the service! The team helpfully explained all gluten free options to us on the menu and gave us tips for the wine. All our food was delicious, as was the wine! Thank you for a lovely welcoming evening!
I like the cafe bar here. It’s quiet and you can see the garden view.taking a break and walk around the city.
This Hotel was terrific. A Perfect location for me, and the staff was so nice and professional. Polite and always smiling. I was upgraded to a room on the 7th floor with a balcony and view. and even a bottle of campaign and a bottle of wine. What did I do to deserve this? Breakfast was excellent. Definitely will stay...
Love the location very much. Brera district is full of energy and is really good for designers during the Milan Design Week because most of the furnishings shops are around this area. The hotel is clean and staff are very helpful. Price of the hotel might be high during the Milan Design Week.
Went there with my wife and it is centrally located in Milan. Nice interiors. Decent staff and a late night coffee shop. The weekends have a good party scene with music at the reception and the area around it.
