Amazing, stunning place, where ancient Roman ruins still can be found, including a nymphaeum and the vestiges of an Ancient Roman aqueduct. Pastureland, flocks of sheep and other cattle, farmland and 18th century old farms, which will make you feel as if you were time-traveling, as if time has stopped. It’s huge, very vast, and wandering can be combined with...
We stopped in while walking the Appian Way (about mile 3 from the entrance of the trail). There was no charge to get in but we put a donation in the box that was close to the entrance. Although the place was mostly basic ruins, there were a few helpful info panels. It was amazing to think of it being...

"Worth a Peek"

There isn’t much to see here, but it is easy to reach and only takes 30-45 minutes for a quick look. If you are planning to visit Villa dei Quintili (highly recommend), a combined ticket can be purchased.
"This is what Roma food and hospitality is all about. Bravo !"

This hidden gem is located well away from the city centre on a secluded side street. We considered taking the metro service, but opted for a direct taxi instead to cut time and hassle.
Leaving the cold and rain outside, immediately met with a warm welcome and shown to our table.
In short, this bustling restaurant is an efficient and...
"first night was all excellent - second night the service was lacking"

We enjoyed this restaurant so much our first night that we made reservations to return the next night. However, there was a different server the second night and service the second night was vry lacking. This is a very small restaurant - enough tables to serve about 24 people. The restaurant the second night was filled with locals which we...
The place just shouts that it’s really good. And it is. Wanted gelato after dinner and googled “gelato places near me” and this and 3 others popped up. But Rivareno had the highest rating.
They have the regular flavors and their specialty flavors. As a chef, remember always order the specials. They cost more, but are always the freshest.
I have been a regular in this place for a year and I love it. The staff is extra friendly and they have thousand of games you can choose from. Last time I tryed this one call Azul, took a bit to set but it was really funny if you like strategy game.
They make a killer waffle.
We went here our first night in Rome because it is within a 5 minute walk of our airbnb. The food was very good and friendly service. However, the tables are so close together that we had to squeeze between tables to get to our table in the corner. The tight quarters also made it very noisy. We would probably...
I found this hotel to be surprisingly good, in very good condition and not to forget: very clean and hygienic. Very professional and service minded staff. Good breakfast too. Well equipped and nice looking room also, including the bathroom.
The elevator in the building was perhaps just a little bit slow, unlike the traffic outside, so please be patient with...
I just returned from a two night stay in Rome. I really enjoyed my time at the hotel. It is very conveniently located next to the Metro. The owner, Sandra, is a wonderful host. She went out of her way to make sure I had breakfast one morning before a very early tour (I had to leave at 6:30 am...
This hotel was really lovely for me and a friend to stay in, with great connections to the metro and actually a really lovely walk via the coliseum into the centre of Rome.
Staff were super accommodating, creating a really welcoming vibe and the breakfast was totally reasonable, a great way to start a day of exploring.
What’s more, with...
Good hotel with clean and well equipped rooms. The bathroom was huge. Good breakfast. Location is in a quiet neighbourhood which is mostly a residential area. Some good restaurants nearby but no good bars.
Hotel staff were very helpful and friendly. Helped us with arranging taxis at silly o’clock. Rooms were very basic but the bed was very comfortable.
30 minute walk to the colosseum which is good as it is very close to the other attractions. Found the restaurants near the taxi rank were good.
