Just south of the sprawling campus of the Complutense University of Madrid, Arguelles exudes a fast-paced, collegiate vibe. The main street, Calle Princesa, is filled with twenty-somethings rushing between classes and errands, meeting up with classmates, and grabbing cheap beers and cheap eats. This is a prime shopping spot where the major Spanish clothing and department store chains are less busy than their downtown counterparts, and there is an array of casual dining options to choose from. Check out nearby outdoor spaces such as the lushly planted Plaza de España to the south, which is often filled with craft stalls. To the west of Arguelles is the giant Parque Oueste, a calm and picturesque park with its own Egyptian temple.
We looked round this beautiful house on a Sunday. A real pleasure to have access. Amazing and on certain days it has free entry. Queued for about 15 minutes but well worth the wait. Wanted a less prestigious place or museum and got this with this one. Staircase hallway was magnificent

This is one of the best restaurants I‘ve ever visited! Everything is just perfect and amazing. The service is so friendly, down to earth but always professional and on a top level! The food is mind blowing. the different flavours, textures, the new kombinations, the intepretation of classical dishes and the plating is on a incredible high level. The whole...
We came across this restaurant on trip advisor and thought we’d give it a go based on the great reviews, and It certainly did not disappoint! This was hands down the best restaurant we have eaten on our trip to Spain. The flavours in all the dishes we ordered were delicious. Stand out meals were the chicken taco, the tempura...
We had the cold soup (dense, very good), the croquettes (good but small), the patatas bravas, about which our opinions differed, and the tuna tataki, which was good. Our waiter was very professional. The atmosphere in this place is pleasant.
"Wonderful experience, good food, fabulous people!"

I don't usually write restaurant reviews but felt I had to tonight. After a long day sightseeing Toledo, my mom (78 years old, first time in Europe, doesn't speak/understand Spanish, and vegetarian) and I (been traveling in Spain for a month, understand somewhat but do not speak Spanish well, mostly vegetarian but will eat fish) planned a dinner out in...
The restaurant locates very close to Plaza Espana on the ground floor of a high end residential area. There were two menu options in addition to the a la carte, and we have chosen the 9 courses Rendez Vous menu. The food was simply extraordinary with consistent quality throughout the evening with professional service yet still casual and relaxed atmosphere....
The location of the hotel was great, however what I most enjoyed was the wonderful staff. What a lovely welcome and stay. I would highly recommend it and will return again. Good location and the wellness centre was perfect after a long day in the ciy
Three nights in Madrid..shared a room with a friend....very comfortable...close to the centre...good transport links....great bed....excellent neighbourhood....great breakfast....lovely staff.....quiet...would stay again. Fab cafe (Vienna) 2 mins walk away & good local restaurants.
Visited Melia Princesa during the very busy period of CPHi exhibition. Hotel was fully booked. We stayed there about 15 employees from my company. I must admit that Melia Princesa was by far one of the best hotels I have ever stayed. the ambience in the room was lovely, and the very clever closet with 2 side opening was fabulous!...
I had to go back to reception 3 times because my key wasn’t working. The curtains let in light and I could hear the noise from the neighbouring rooms.
However I still gave a really high mark.
The reception and café/bar area was welcoming. The room was fresh and functional. The free amenities were welcome as were the USB ports....
Great place to stay with family, nice breakfast and quiet.
Not fancy ,but the attached restaurant Casa Mono is fantastic!, excellent food and service.
Well located, close to Metro and shopping, bathrooms could use a little updating, but overall recommended as a good value.
