The futuristic Agbar Tower stands out from Barcelona's skyline in Poblenou. It is no coincidence then that this area of town is the newly crowned technological park of the city, its own mini Silicon Valley containing a tech incubator (Barcelona Activa) as well as a host of local and international high tech companies. To accommodate the onrush of new residents and workers, the area of Poblenou has seen a surge of activity in new high-rise residential buildings and two top-notch shopping centres catering to everyone's need. The ambiance of this area is calmer than the city center and the beautifully relaxing Bogatell Beach, popular with locals, is just a handful of blocks away.
Poblenou is a suburb located 3 kms from central Barcelona. Two great beaches across the end of Main Street. Lots of restaurants and shops available and plenty of public buses running continuously to the La Ramblas of Barcelona
In crowded, touristy cities I love finding the locals spots where the residents are going about their lives. There are plenty of dining and retail options between Ave Diagonal and the Mediterranean Sea.
Whenever possible I like to have a "beach day" during travel when there is no schedule for part of the day. This was a great beach but crowded. It was a nice walk down the Las Ramblas del Pobleneu from my hotel.
Last year when I was in Barcelona, I went to check out this museum (it was not yet built when I was in Barcelona on previous occasions). There was no special exhibition at that time, so I visited the permanent exhibitions on furniture/design, posters, etc.
This time, there was a special exhibition on Adolf Loos (with entrance fee) and some...
The cemetery is really well maintained and signposted. The iconic "Kiss of Death" statue/headstone was particularly worth seeing.
It's a very peaceful place and contains some really beautiful, if melancholic, art.
Very difficult to describe how amazing this place... It is located a bit far from the centre of the city but really worth every step and waiting time outside .. they serve the food with passion and love ... Actually, they do regular dishes Bendect, Omelettes, Pancakes etc but they put thier own unique touch that makes it taste WOW......
Found this lovely place on trip advisor, thought we would try it out, nice little Indian restaurant, decent menu and food cooked exactly how you like it, good portions, great tasty food in a relaxed atmosphere, staff polite with good English too. Great value for money.Well worth a visit
Wow wow wow this place is so fantastic, one guy doing all the work and doing an absolutely amazing job. The plates are also so super cool! Definitely go here! We went for the tasting menu and weren’t disappointed with any of the meals

Highly recommend this restaurant! I went with one friend of mine on a Friday evening and even when it was busy we got a table in 5 without any reservation. The staff friendly and professional! If you’re looking for a place where you can have great seafood then stop looking and reserve a table here... you won’t regret it!
The gym in this hotel was really good and meant I did t need to miss out on my workout it was great value room and a hearty breKfast included in price we were treated very well by staff and they took care of everything very happy indeed
The Level at Melia Sky offers an elegant, affordable experience in a great location. Rooms are well-designed and modern, although small. Bed and bedding were great. The sea views are terrific and it's only a 15 minute walk from the hotel to the beach.
The best part about the stay is The Level. The morning breakfast is top notch, truly...
If you're hesitant about this location, don't be. My wife and I were slightly hesitant before we booked but we ended up loving the location of this hotel. Granted it's not in the center of all the tourist sites, but I can assure you that you are a very quick subway ride to Las Ramblas, the Gothic quarter etc. So...
Stayed here for 4 nights in March, check in was quick and smooth and the receptionist was extremely helpful, providing a city map and the details of the metro/bus stations close. We did not use the tram much and found it pretty cheap to use Cabify which is barcelonas version of uber. Much nicer cars and a little cheaper than...
Literally On Av Diagonal, service is very good. Rooms are very good. Unfortunately no slippers are offered.
Breakfast is a pure pleasure and the team serving it is fantastic.
Hotel location is also helping visiting Barcelona seaside touristic location
