Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognisable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognised architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
As you tour this home, you not only appreciate Guadi's genius but they have a virtual reality componenet so you can see how the owners decorated the home. Guadi's use of light makes this very welcoming and not as outrageous as one might think form pictures.

If you want to do some shopping therapy don't look any further.... may of the major high end stores are located on the street. I was so happy to see how much Barcelona grew in that area in the last couple years.... I love it!!!!
Beautiful old building with the oddest collection of things. Shops sell everything from jewellery to clothing to knickknacks to food. Some pretty amazing art throughout the galleria. worth a look and a couple of hours just to make you smile!
A wonderful small gem of a place. The tapas are exceptional as well as unusual presentations in some cases. One of us has a true gluten problem (unlike over 95% who think they do) and they accommodated him without any problems.
The wait staff were very helpful and friendly and really like to interact with the diners.

This is hands down the best pastiserria in town.
We just wanted to eat some eclairs real bad and found this place on Google.
They were amazing and the choux with lemon and basil will literally explode your mind!
A must visit!
Went here with family for a birthday meal.
Food, service, quality, quantity & premises is second to none. Got to be the best place in Barcelona to eat.
Kitchen is only separated from you by clear glass so you can see the chefs cooking your meal.
All the staff here are really helpful & good fun.
This place is great...
We stayed here for 5 nights including my wife's 50th. Great base in an upmarket area of Barcelona (don't give your wife free rain with the credit card) within walking distance of most sites. Excellent service from front desk to cleaning staff, all cheerful and helpful. Our room had a garden view and great views of the Gaudi building across...
I booked this hotel for a surprise weekend away for my husband’s birthday. Before we had even arrived at the hotel I had been in contact with Peggy (guest relations) regarding having some balloons and champagne placed in the room on arrival. She was very professional and polite and kept in contact with me over a few months to confirm...
I spent 4 nights at the Corner Hotel and I have to say I felt very comfortable there.
First of all,it is all modern with very nice decor. I had booked a superior room and It was a good size with a nice bathroom with bathtub. All amenities were great, smart tv with YouTube, inroom sound system, quiet air con...

This hotel was originally the Ritz Carlton and it certainly still retains the elegance of it's former life. Great location for walking to most sights including all things Gaudi. Beautifully appointed rooms and service with a smile.
This hotel provides a good, affordable base in Barcelona. Barcelona is quite spread out but this location makes it possible to visit the Gaudi buildings, Sagrada Familiar and the old town if you like to walk. It also has a metro station close by.
The staff were all very helpful. We arrived at 9.30am after a long flight from Australia....
