The sounds of Marina Olympica's rocking boats and clicking mastheads swaying to and fro set an impressive backdrop for Ciutadella and Villa Olimpica. Follow the aromas of garlic, wine, and fresh local fish to the various restaurants running along the marina. A grand bronze fish statue soaring high above serves as a beacon to those searching for the renowned Casino Barcelona or the extremely popular nightclubs which practically lie on the beach itself.
We visited the Platja de la Nova Icaria beach the day after we went to Barceloneta. We preferred this beach over the first as there were less people (still busy though) and the water seemed cleaner and clearer.
It’s a little further from the mariner but we found the walk worth it.
There were two cafes on the beach which...
If you are in Barcelona then you must try this place. The food, atmosphere and service are all excellent. Nothing else to add because you must try it yourself!
Tip - book in advance if you are going for dinner to make sure you have a table.
Could not say better things about Santa Fe! My husband (Brazilian) and I went there for lunch and were blown away! Husband felt like he was back in Brazil having a home cooked meal. If you’re looking for a great place to eat, then look no further! Reservations are recommended but walk ins are welcomed too. It’s a must

The food was delicious and the staff was really nice and attentive. We had the daily special and one of the sandwiches and everything was fresh and well prepared. The juices were also delicious. We will definitely come back!
This is my second time to Barcelona and this was both the best and most authentic food I've had by far! The restaurant doesn't look great and isn't fancy but my god the food is incredible. The owner/chef doesn't speak any English but he found someone he did to accommodate us. We told him to bring us whatever he likes...
Room and bathroom are compact but have all that's needed. Hotel is located close to the old town, to the waterfront and with a very pleasant park across the street. There is a roof top bar which is worth a visit. Breakfast is extra and basic but again adequate.
The lobby area grew on me. Given small rooms, this is...
This was our third stay in a Club Level room - we love it so much that we keep on returning again and again!
The staff are all so polite and helpful - nothing is too much trouble.
The room is well kept and very comfortable. The view from our room on the 33rd floor was amazing. There were 3...
This hotel was recommended to us by our 23 yr old daughter. We were naturally apprehensive but were very happy with hotel, breakfast, roof pool and excellent modern clean room with fab bathroom walk in shower. Great comfy beds slept well very quiet. Had a great vibe and very friendly helpful staff. Very good location 10 mins walk from bogatell...
The hotel is literally right next to the beach and some bus stops so places were easy to get to. We walked most places and that was easy to do from here too. The staff were lovely and helped us with planning our routes on the buses etc. Our room was great and clean and the room service was perfect...
Stayed for three nights at this convenient location. Although the room were small it's value for money. Very friendly staff who made our stay pleasant. We would certainly recommend this hotel to our friends who intend visiting Barcelona.
