We visited Recinte Modernista de Sant Pau, a beautiful complex of Modernist buildings designed by Lluis Domenech I Montaner, on Sunday when it was free but I gladly would have paid the admission to see this amazing complex. The Metro delivered us to the modern Hospital de Sant Pau, and from there it was a rather long but fortunately downhill...
A rain storm cut our hike short but the views were worth all the steps we took to get there. There was a parking lot at the base of the park so you can drive and park. Wear good shoes because the ground and paths are uneven.
"Probably the Most Underrated Tourist Attraction in Barcelona!"

So in most guide books, the Hospital Santa Pau is not really played up. In Rick Steves it is almost a footnote! We spent nearly 3 hours touring this architectural gem! This is one of the most unique and well thought out public buildings of the 19th and early 20th centuries. The audio-tour is both audio and visual as your...

"Very slow service"
reviewed 1 August 2018 by Chorel
I was there once and it was ok, but the second time was very disappointed: it took almost one and a half hours for the service ans the food wasn't good enough.
The complain was generic according to the comments on the other tables.
Ate here on a Thursday night, it was quiet but the couple who run the place were really friendly and put us at ease! The decor consists of some slightly macarbe mannequins who watch over you, which is nice and a bit different! Most importantly the fondue was really, really good and I'd definitely return.
This is a two star hotel. It is located 10 minutes from sagrada Familia in a very peaceful and full of shops area. Also metro and bus station really close. Our rooms were always clean, really cooperative staff and nice breakfast. Good idea for a hotel that you only need to be clean and convenient!
Really good welcome from the staff. Rooms are perfectly clean. Neighboorhood and hotel are quiet. We have just heard other customers in the corridor but not anymore when they were in their room. The hotel is not in the very downtown but close to the subway so it's a good place to go.
