We found this museum very interesting. It is really for the aficionados not someone with a casual interest in WWII memorabilia. We left with a much better appreciation of the aftermath of the war. It was fairly easy to reach from public transportation. We took the S-Bahn and then had a 20 min walk through a lovey green leafy neighborhood.
Nice museum, a bit off the beaten tracks, with paintings of German expressionists from the early 20the century. Only three-four artists represented, but very beautiful works of Kirschner and Schmidt-Rottluff. Definitely worth the visit.
Wonderful museum. Don’t miss it. Visit the garden with replicas of houses from all regions of Vietnam first. Check on the time of the water puppet show and go to it. Then visit the museum itself and enjoy the excellent exhibitions of life in the varied regions of Vietnam
After leaving the US Embassy and heading back to the car we spotted this sculpture of horses looking like they are busting through the Berlin Wall running for Freedom. It was a gift from the United States and was dedicated on July 1998 by President George W. Bush.
You need a ticket and a tour slot but if you are as lucky as my friend and I you just have a pretty much private tour.
Hunting memorabilia, horror story and Lucas Cranach in a hunting castle in the woods. And do not be surprised by all the dogs outside, the grunewaldsee is dog leash free area.
Located a block from the historic U3 terminal in Dahlem, Alter Krug serves traditional German fare and drinks in a genuine setting. Service was attentive and decor inviting. I especially liked the wood floor planking and the active tile fire fireplace. We had the steak tartar with capers, braises Salmon and Matjes. The house white (Riesling) is quite good.

If you love a good burger, this is THE place to go.
Wait maybe not, because after this burger you won't like the others anymore ... so if you want to preserve the good memory of other burger places, don't come to this place, it's too damn good! :-)
By the way, the vegetarian burgers are delicious, too ...
This is basically the cafe of a beautifully styled garden center. You sit either outside or in greenhouses, in any case in very beautiful English-style surroundings. A very good place to go on a cloudy, showery day. We went there for breakfast and even had the „gourmet etagere“, which is a bit pricey (38 Euro for two). The quality was...

Berlin food scene is very good and variegated, due to its big international community and its constant culinary experiments.
As everywhere, there are always exceptions that confirm the rule and Trattoria Romana definitely falls into this category.
Meals are very average, not really tasty and they don’t have that typical Italian maniacal attention for the details. Service is slow and...
"Exceptional food and atmosphere, a wonderful neighbourhood restaurant"

I love Miss Wu, simple as that. It has become one of my favourite neighbourhood restaurants and the first time I went I truly enjoyed it. It is located in Dahlem, so less touristic which is nice. The atmosphere in there is truly nice, relaxing and calm as well. It is not big, but cozy and very pleasant (the lighting...
Went for a conference, so didn't choose this hotel, but it is located in a wonderful quite neighborhood, lots of local restaurants, bars and bakeries around. The room is well equipped, but don't expect pampering, it is a simple straight forward service.
Within walking distance to trains and Ubers are all around. Shrot drive to Tegel airport.
"A nice cozy place, steps away from the U.S. Consulate"

We had a large bedroom with a small kitchen and bathroom near a large forest leading to three lakes. The apartment rental included a very nice breakfast; is near the U-bahn (underground) and buses going to the Zoological Garden, Kurfuerstendamm, KaDeWe, money exchange, museums, etc.
A supermarket and health food store are only minutes away.
The hotel is an old...
