The tree-lined Canal Saint-Martin is the focal point of one of the most romantic and hip areas of Paris. Watch boats travel along the canal while lovers and friends take in the atmosphere from the banks or the bridges. Evenings see hoards fill the embankments to drink wine and enjoy good company. The colder days lead people to hipster bars, cozy restaurants, and concert spaces. Those who are more adventurous may explore hidden gems down nearby streets, from local bars to futuristic architecture. With its enriching mix of people of all ages and backgrounds, this neighbourhood has a dynamic, inspiring vibe.

This area has some nice buildings with great architecture, a few restaurants and cafes with outdoor seating near a fountain which is popular in the day with families. Kids enjoy the space to run around.
Also this is the start of the canal that leads to Bassin de la Villette where the canal cruise boats are located and in the...
"small gallery in an unlikely spot that's worth finding"

We went to see the Ray Metzker exhibition at Les Douches. It is wholly unexpected - on the first floor of a building in a residential street just away from the main roads. You have to buzz to be let in and to our surprise, it appeared to be free. It is a very relaxed space with sofas and space...
During our trip to Paris we got curious about the number 1 of Tripadvisor. We made a reservation a month before to make sure we should get a spot. Once we entered the restaurant, the smell of fresh fish was welcoming us. It is a very tiny place, which makes it cozy. The tables are all set up close to...
My group spent a splendid cold, snowy evening at La Vache Dans Les Vignes having a wine-and-cheese tasting (along with pâté and charcuteries). The staff was warm, welcoming, and well informed. The pourings and portions were generous. We were able to make a meal of it. We had just a fabulous time!
I had a lunch is one my of my good friend who leaves in Paris.
The restaurant has few tables outside, so it's nice during summer time.
The food is fresh and testy, the staff is super friendly, and prices very reasonable.
If you visit Paris and walk along Canal St Martin, please stop by there!
"Excellent Lyonnaise Cuisine at Reasonable Prices"

We've been visiting since 2001 and find that it is still one of the best places to go in Paris. We haven't tried everything on the menu because we're hooked on our favorites. Most recently we had the piperade (soft-scrambled eggs with ham, sausage and peppers,) calf liver with onions, goose confit, and profiterolles. Other items we've enjoyed include the...
We stayed at the hotel from the 8th Feb to 18th Feb 2018 and we loved our stay at the hotel. The room was very clean and the service was prompt. The staff was very welcoming, nice and convival. Overall it was a very pleasant stay and we enjoyed our time there.
I stayed in Citizen Hotel when i came in Paris and I really enjoyed it. Nice cozy room and perfect localization in center or Paris close to Canal St Martin, and lot of things to see like Montmartre, Eiffel Tower ! ;)
Great hotel! Rooms are renovated and very clean, the bed is very good, shower is good! Location is great! Iron is delivered upon request, but was not so clean! I would definetely reccomend it if you are alone or a couple! Enjoy Paris!
What a great little place and perfect for us as a couple. We have to say that we search out this type of hotel to stay as opposed to the more corporate type of place. As soon as we stepped into the lobby, surrounded by stone walls and curios with two dogs lying on their mats, we felt right at...
Very welcoming and enjoyable. Staff was happy to help out with some printing needs. Good location for public transit. Nice amenities. Loved the free espresso bar! Overall, well worth the stay. Bathrooms could use a little updating.
