"Take a Walking Tour"
reviewed 7 December 2019 by Thomas V
This is one of my favorite residential areas of Paris, a bit out of the way, but that is one of the reasons why it is so charming. Quiet and full of small pleasant buildings. Take a walking tour to learn about the special qualities.
We visited the Library on a miserable Sunday the 1st of December. Admission was free so we had a look inside and were surprised to see how many people were inside in the libraries, studying, reading etc. It is a magnificent building and very photogenic
This ice cream is some of the best I’ve had the pleasure of tasting. The flavor combinations are unique, creative, and well-balanced. La Tropicale Glacier only uses seasonal ingredients for optimal freshness, and you can taste the difference in quality. Additionally, the owners are lovely people who are happy to answer any questions you may have.
Some colleagues and I were in the area, hungry, and despairing of finding much. Instead, we stumbled across this place. Every dish was masterfully crafted and well balanced. I have eaten at Michelin starred restaurants on numerous occasions and this place ranks amongst them in my opinion.
The Poggi starter was a particular triumph.
I stayed At Hotel Henriette during one of the most surreal times of my life. The global health pandemic happing right now put my travel plans for France into quite a whirlwind. It also happened to be my 30th birthday. This beautiful hotel and wonderful staff took very good care of me during this time. Unfortunately I was only able...
One of the best hotels I’ve stayed at. The bed was very comfortable and the room was clean and quiet. The staff were all friendly. A metro station is close by, so very easy to get to all the sights. We will definitely stay here again.
I want to first start off by saying that this hotel is very close to the metro, the nearby shopping center, restaurants, bakeries, etc. You pretty much have everything you need within walking distance. The room was a bit small but very clean which we appreciated. The TV in the room was nice to watch the news in the morning...
The name gives away the concept of the hotel: urban bivouac. As a consequence, the rooms feature lots of wood, to give you this upscale camping feeling. There is nothing from with the Hotel Urban Bivouac as a hotel for a weekend in Paris. It is located close to a metro station (Olympiade), clean, modern, friendly staff, fast and easy...

The personal was excellent, the room correct, maybe a little smaller than expected but very cleaned, the location is excellent near to Place d'Italie, acessible by metro. We could leave the bags at the hotel the day of departure.
