The starting point of the Rue De La Paix. The column in the centre of the square was erected by Napoleon to commemorate the victory of the the Battle of Austerlitz. The square is surrounded by high end hotels and jewellery shops like Cartier , Bulgari etc.. the place is interesting and fun for window shopping . Overall recommended
At 2k’s long, this is a lovely street to walk along, just taking it all in, there are many sops and eateries to tempt along the way, nearing Place de Vendome, the shops, get vey posh, as we crossed over Rue Royale, excellent piccies of Place de Madeleine were to be had
This is not a review per se, just a few points some may find interesting. It appears no ones neck is ever really safe in France, a fact that applies to statues as well..
The first statue to grace the perch of the Column was that of of the so called Imperial Napoleon created by Chaudet. It met an inglorious...
Whether it be a meat or veggie filled baguette, some pastries, a bottle of wine, snacks and soft drinks, and especially crepes, Happy Cafe is our "Go-To" place. Tiny but stocked with all things good, we always drop in on our way back to our hotel. The owner and his side kick are wonderful people and always do a little...
Les Jardins de L’Espadon is outstanding in every way: the decor, ambiance, service, cuisine! For main course I had roasted scallops plus, with a sauce that was so delicious that I ate very slowly to prolong the pleasure. The chef circulated among the guests. There were several extras in addition to the amuse-bouche.
This is an extraordinary restaurant located in the Mandarin Oriental Hotel. Everything was exquisite: the atmosphere, the decor, the service, the unusual cuisine with lots of extras and surprises. Although expensive, surprisingly it is not as expensive as some others such as L'Oiseau Blanc, Le Jardin de l'Espadon, for example, and it offered a more unique and amazing experience. To...
Fantastic "Cueilettes du moment" menu for 58 € - very good value for money👍. We also took the wine menu for 33 €, and the total bill was aprox 200 € for two including Coffee and sweets! We want to come back very soon!!'N
We came to the Baudelaire on a Sunday afternoon for the tea time.
I'd heard excellent things about the Burgundy's tea time and Pascal Hainigue's pastries, so I was really looking forward to the meal.
Despite the slightly unusual set up - the tables are outside the closed restaurant under the glass roof - it's very cozy and calm.
my home away from home
food, service, location, team,
the best hotel in Paris. by far.
I have been going to the mandarin for the last 5 years every month. its hard to find a hotel that feels like home...
The hotel is close to everything you need. Shops, restaurants, museums, metro station Tuileries, I just walked everywhere from there. My room was small but had everything I needed and specially a tea and coffee machine which is rare in France. clean and quiet room with Sothys bathroom products. The staff was efficient and very kind.
Will definitely recommend this...
The staff is just adorable they are excellent service providers, friendly and care about you. As a young adult they were very nice and treated me like anyone else. Some of the staff became my friends, they are people that you can trust. The Hotel is beautiful, very refined and the food is amazing Cedric Grolet and Alain Ducasse do...
Everything was perfect, from the check in, room, bathroom, room cleaning service, information received by the employees. We do not use the breakfast service. Hotel very well located with cafes, restaurants, shops very close, in addition to numerous tourist spots.
The location is excellent, which is beside a Metro station and Louvre Museum.
The staff are kind and nice.
The room is relatively small but enough for two person.
The room is clean.
The price is pretty fair for given location and room.
