I heard plenty of good things about Aunt Essie's but after trying it out myself, I was highly disappointed.
They got our orders wrong twice, and were pretty rude about their own mistakes.
The portions were small, the rice and peas was hard and the curry goat was tough, fatty and mostly bone. I tried a piece of my friends...
They have a new baker too bad they didn't keep the last one everything changed. The beef patties have a very strong curry flavour and the crust not as crispy and flaky as before. The bbq pork buns not what they were. Oh well back to Warden station for my patties.
Stumbled upon this location and was wowed by the freshness and flavor of these wings! Flake off the bone, tender and slightly piquant but sweet with that mild masala after-taste uh-umm. Tip: call head n pick up, could be tight squeeze for parking
"We knew Hakka food, and it should not mean salty and spicy."

I have only been to No. 1 Hakka at 682 Kennedy road four times, and each time, the food was okay on a weekday but hardly palatable on the weekend.
No. 1 Hakka’s location is prime: a large, corner eatery right on Kennedy Road with lots of stores around, free parking, and convenient public transit.
Afer shopping at Giant Tiger...
The Tara Inn Eglinton has bitten the dust. Turmeric Kitchen is there now (Sri Lankan fare). Kevin made the best wings of all time. If anyone knows where or if he resurfaced let me know. Man can make magic wing. Gutted.
