The beating heart of the city lies within Centro Histórico, the vast expanse of historical buildings and monuments that are a must when exploring Mexico City. Places such as the Museo Biblioteca Palacio Postal, Casa de los Azulejos and Palacio de Bellas Artes are the perfect eye candy for anyone seeking to admire arts and architecture. Don't forget to visit the wide variety of markets and plazas where any vintage item, handicrafts and jewelry characteristic of each state in Mexico can be found on Sundays. Admire majestic views of the city from the Monumento a la Revolución and Torre Latinoamericana, and round out the experience with restaurants of all cuisines nearby.
You need to show and your ID at the front. You will get like a visitor’s pass to see 3 full floors of Diego Rivera’s murals. I would recommend to browse the history an details in the interactive screen on the museum side. You can learn about the background of the different murals and their meaning in its historical context....
If you are a fan or curious about Diego Riveras art, this is a great place to see it. Admission is free but since it is a Mexico National Government Building, you must pass through a metal detector and leave an ID with picture to gain admission. You get your ID back when you leave. Get there early to be...
Stayed here twice this past winter ,, withfriend and solo ... staff is lovely ... building; beautiful and restaurant and rooms very good if not quite as glam as the lobby. Special thanks to Cynthia at the desk, Mario, Enrique , and Victor and the many hotel drivers and assistants.
Really a beautiful cathedral in spite of its rolling floor. Between earthquakes and a sinking city, who knows how much longer this church will be here. The altars are amazing. Money was not a concern when they built this cathedral.
We opted to eat I the courtyard to make the most of our last hours in Mexico. Very peaceful but you may prefer the buzz of indoors.
Interesting food such as butter with crickets, cactus 3 ways. The fish with garlic was very tasty as was the chicken
The enthusiasm of the service is a delight.

We loved it so much, we ate there twice.
We were cordially greeted upon arrival and seated. Our server took time to welcome us and review menu items and recommendations with us.
The food and drinks were all delish. Servers came around regularly to check on us and refill drinks. It is a wonderful restaurant with an amazing view of...
"Excellent bakery - worth a visit even if you don't want to buy anythin"

One of the biggest bakeries I've ever seen - with ground floor full of delicious breads, cakes, pastries, jellies, muffins and cream cakes. There is a showroom on the first floor with cakes weighting up to 100kg which are apparently real. I've tasted some pastries and rolls and they were delicious! It's tricky to learn how to order and pay...
Very beautiful hotel with a lot of character, wonderful staff and centrally located in historic Mexico City. Many restaurants and shopping within walking distance, numerous historic sites and buildings also within walking distance. The staff is most courteous and helpful. We enjoyed our stay here very much and when we return we sill be sure to reserve here again.
"We chose this hotel due to its perfect location at the downtown area and the amenities that were offered.. The check-in was very smooth, we were given fresh guava juice, with a staff that is professional and very courteous (most spoke a little English so we could greet each other). The facilities seem to be fairly new with spotless rooms....
We stayed five nights at Hotel Catedral(HC) near the Zocalo during the middle of February, 2020, and found HC to be excellent in all respects. Desk personnel were patient with and responsive to all our questions. The comfortable room was spotless and maintained daily. The booking included a complementary, robust breakfast of fruits, vegetables, eggs made to order, rolls, and,...
Absolutely a wonderful hotel, amazing staff, very clean and comfortable. I loved the 24 hour cafe which offered complimentary paninis, chips, soft drinks, cappuccino, and other items. There was a small charge for beer and wine. The terrace restaurant served delicious food, and the view was spectacular. I recommend this hotel highly!
This is a wonderful example of the best service, staff that was knowledgeable, courteous, attentive, effective, price is good facilities are in great shape and breakfast was good too. I want to particularly congratulate Captain Roberto A. F. who went the extra mile to be attentive and make sure everyone is taken care during their service breakfast. Fantastic!!
