Cost to get to this island $45 per adult and $30 per child over 4. This could be a costly day for some families. The island itself is just like any other island in Australia. We are very spoilt in Australia and have many beautiful beaches and islands that are easily accessible

Thank you for your review. We commenced our own ferry operation in September 15 and our prices were lower than other ferries. Local people consider our prices to be fair but of course it is always better value if you chose to stay on the Island. All of our groceries and supplies are barged over weekly and this is quite an expense for us when pricing our foods and snacks. I am pleased you were happy with the price ranges for the main meals. Our bistro is now operating a larger menu variety in the off meal times on Fridays/Saturday and Sundays and school holidays now, which has been well received. The main meals are still only available during the main meal open hours. Unfortunately the bistro is not busy enough throughout the whole day to have our main chefs on duty. The Capricorn coast does have some lovely beaches to spend time on however the clear azure waters and wide sandy beaches of Great Keppel Island are far superior and you also have the ability to snorkel off the beach just a short walk from the accommodation. There are also a wonderful range of water activities available on the Island. I do realise that every family has a budget to keep but we believe a day at Great Keppel Island is a wonderful experience. Regards Denise
