    Impressive
We visited the Parthenon while in the park because our daughter is very interested in Greek architecture. It is something to see and as we have not been to the original, perhaps the closest we’ll come. It is an impressive building and you can see the giant statue of Athena inside and some art as well as pieces from the worlds fair. Lots of green space around to relax and enjoy the visit.

    Very cool
Wow. I've seen the real thing, and now this one. I mean, the real thing took my breath away. This one is amazing. I didn't get to go inside. We were there on an off day, but we did walk around it. It is still amazing to me that the original was built so far back in time. This one is an exact replica. So even in modern times, this is still great architecture. The detail in the pillars and in the whole structure is absolutely amazing. I can't imagine how this one was built. I read the history and I recommend you do the same. It's interesting what the original place looked like during the fair. They did a lot of redesigning and reconstruction to complete this replica. It is very well done.

    Interesting exterior; not much inside
This building is impressive but it's a little silly, and I struggled to give it an above-average rating. I took a (free with $10 admission) tour while I was there, and was not particularly impressed with that - it was barely more informative than I could gather from walking around. I did enjoy looking at the exterior, meant to be a close replica in many aspects. The interior had a small uninteresting art gallery and some artifacts and photos from the Tennessee Centennial, but you can skip all of that and go to the second floor which houses an Athena statue and some casting pieces for the exterior. I was underwhelmed by all of this, but I understand why there's some interest in the statue. Overall, I think it's an above-average exterior, which would make it a good spot to hang out in the park. I think going inside is unnecessary unless you want to see the Athena statue, and even then, you can be in and out in 10 minutes for $10.

Unexpected venue for historical American art
A word about the art collection. If you like 19th and early 20th century American art, it's definitely worth a visit. I didn't count but I think it's around 60 artworks total, with some surprisingly good examples by Frederic Church, Thomas Moran and Sanford Gifford; as well as many by lesser-known but talented artists of that era, the likes of which appear at major galleries and auctions, but which rarely appear in a museum.

    Unique and unexpected
The Parthenon is located in a beautiful park in downtown Nashville. If you go at the right time, there are different arts and craft fairs in the park and the Parthenon makes a beautiful backdrop. Although it seems a little out of place, it is interesting to look at focal point for photographs.

    Athens of the South
Interesting history of a Nashville landmark. I was happy to visit this replica of the real thing. We were very disappointed in the face the artist chose for Athena, not at all suggestive of ancient Greece. Otherwise, very impressive edifice.

Recreation of Original - been to both!
The second place that we visited in Nashville was the Parthenon. The Parthenon in Centennial Park, Nashville, Tennessee, United States, is a full-scale replica of the original Parthenon in Athens, Greece. It was designed by architect William Crawford Smith and built in 1897 as part of the Tennessee Centennial Exposition. Alan LeQuire's 1990 re-creation of the Athena Parthenos statue in the naos (the east room of the main hall) is the focus of the Parthenon just as it was in ancient Greece. Since the building is complete and its decorations were polychromed (painted in colors) as close to the presumed original as possible, this replica of the original Parthenon in Athens serves as a monument to what is considered the pinnacle of classical architecture. We had been here in 1997 but that was before we had seen the original Parthenon (build 438 BC) at the acropolis in Athens, Greece (Sept. 2021). I loved the comparison!

    History - worth your time!
We waited for the museum to open Sunday at 12:30. The fee reasonable but gift shop not welcoming. The museum itself had several displays along with the Parthenon replica. Fascinating history, take the time to see and read everything. The permanent and on loan paintingd, silver and glass were lovely. Articles well-written.

    Impressive!
Admission was $10 per adult. Lots of interesting information about the history of the museum and the exact-size replica of the original Parthenon in Athens. There also is some art on display (classic & modern). Surrounding grounds are lovely!

A modern take on the ancient Greek Parthenon.
There’s a museum inside where you can see a couple of art exhibits. Also, you will find a 42 foot statue of Athena. The goddess of crafts. Afterwards, you can take a beautiful walk around the park.
