Taylors Wines is a family-owned wine producer with an impressive list of award winning wines. The Taylor family’s vineyards are situated just outside of the tiny township of Auburn in the picturesque Clare Valley. These vineyards were first purchased by the Taylor family in 1969. Originally, wine merchants, they were singularly passionate about wine and set out to craft exceptional wine that would rival the best in the world. Their winemaking philosophy centres on the knowledge that if you ‘respect the fruit’ you can preserve the delicate nature of those elements we enjoy most about wine; the flavours and aromas. This is how they achieve the seemingly contradictory outcome of ‘enormous delicacy’ or ‘massive finesse’ when it comes to the flavour and structure of their wines. Taylors Wines are branded as Wakefield Wines in the northern hemisphere due to trademark restrictions held by the owners of Taylors Port.

Our beautifully renovated cellar door overlooks the stunning homestead gardens and rolling vineyards adjacent to the property. Since the property was founded back in the 1890’s, each custodian has added something unique to the Koonowla story. Now its our turn to make history with our range of iconic Clare Valley wines.
