The Barossa Farmers Market: real food from the homes and farms of the Barossa Valley. We are a food-only, traditional farmers market, open every Saturday morning between 7.30am - 11.30am. Many of our stalls are undercover, inside the Vintners shed in Angaston. Our producers sell an array of fresh fruit and vegetables, meats, smallgoods, baked goods, fresh seafood, olive oils, vinegars, confectionery, jams and preserves. We also have a coffee bar, selling a range of coffee's made from locally roasted beans. Stock up on your fresh produce, buy a sweet treat and enjoy a delicious coffee with friends. If it's breakfast you are looking for, we have a community breakfast bar offering bacon and egg rolls, with proceeds going back to the local community. We look forward to showing you the best of the Barossa soon!

Our Cheesecellar is located in the main street of Angaston and is open for cheese tastings, experiences and all things cheese each Wednesday to Monday 10-4pm. Visit us to learn more about cheese, see our cheesemakers in action or to do a cheese tasting plate for $5 or extend your tasting with a seasonal platter with cheese, condiments and crispbreads.

The sound of a hammer tapping on the anvil drifts out into the street and invites you to step back to a time when the blacksmith was the 'king of trades'. Watch the bellows fuel the fire as the smithy works at the forge to craft red hot metal in to useful and artistic objects. This working museum is a testament to what was once an essential trade in village life. A business established in the 1870s by the Doddridge family, it was a place of ideas and work. Young and old alike would come to witness the expertise and listen to the stories of the blacksmith. This special place is an extraordinary example of the ingenuity and commitment of a bygone era and is now one of the few remaining main street smithies in Australia. Each weekend volunteers of the Angaston and Penrice Historical Society demonstrate the art of blacksmithing and guide you through three rooms of memorabilia. This is a wonderful experience for the whole family. Open Saturdays, Sundays & public holidays, 1-4pm.

Fossick for your own gems.(Bookings essential) Purchase a bucket of gem-bearing gravel and be shown how to fossick. Price includes having one of your best finds cut into your own brilliant cut gem.
