I visited Seminyak Beach in February, and while the beach itself is wide and offers a beautiful sunset view, I was a bit disappointed with its cleanliness. There was quite a lot of trash in some areas, which took away from the beauty of the place. The entrance is free, which is nice, but maybe if there was a small entrance fee for maintenance, the beach could be kept cleaner. It would make the experience much better for visitors. Despite the cleanliness issue, the beach has a lively atmosphere with many cafes and restaurants nearby. It’s still a good place to relax, but I hope the management improves the cleanliness in the future.

Seminyak Beach is one of Bali’s most popular stretches of sand, and it’s easy to see why. This expansive beach offers a perfect blend of laid-back vibes, upscale beach clubs, and a stunning backdrop of the Indian Ocean, making it an ideal destination for both relaxation and adventure. The beach itself is wide, clean, and perfect for long walks along the shore. Its soft golden sand and gentle waves create a calming atmosphere, whether you’re looking to lounge on a beach chair with a cold drink in hand or dip your toes in the water. The waves here are ideal for beginner surfers, and you’ll often see surf schools giving lessons to those eager to ride the Balinese waves. One of Seminyak Beach’s highlights is its vibrant scene. Beach clubs like Ku De Ta and Potato Head line the coast, offering stylish settings where you can enjoy world-class cocktails, delicious bites, and some of the best sunset views Bali has to offer. The atmosphere is lively without being overwhelming—there’s always a mix of music, laughter, and the sound of the ocean in the background, but it never feels too crowded. The sunsets at Seminyak Beach are nothing short of spectacular. As the sun dips below the horizon, the sky fills with vivid hues of orange, pink, and purple, creating the perfect setting for an evening drink or dinner by the beach. Many visitors gather just for this moment, sitting on bean bags or lounging at the beach clubs to take in the stunning display. For those seeking more action, Seminyak Beach is home to water sports, yoga classes, and even horse riding. Vendors stroll along the beach offering everything from coconuts to kites, adding to the lively, fun atmosphere without being too intrusive. However, if you’re looking for a more tranquil experience, it’s easy to find a quiet spot further down the beach. What sets Seminyak Beach apart from other Bali beaches is the balance it strikes between laid-back beach life and the energy of a chic, cosmopolitan scene. Whether you’re coming for a quiet morning swim or a full day of beach club hopping, this stretch of coast has something for everyone. In short, Seminyak Beach is a must-visit for anyone in Bali. Its beautiful setting, lively energy, and unbeatable sunsets make it one of the island’s top destinations for beachgoers looking to relax, socialize, and soak in the beauty of Bali.

Nice beach in Seminyak Bali which is generally overcrowded and fairly littered with debris. Exceptional sunset view but it’s a tourist trap if you are not prepared for it. Cushioned beach chairs available for around 100000 IDR for two with a cold tender coconut thrown in free. Worth it to spend a couple of hours especially at sunset. Too many people trying to hustle you for trinkets and massage spoils the vibe after a while.

I have mixed feelings about this beach. The people that live and work at the beach and the surrounding area couldn't be more friendly and welcoming. However I don't know weather the time of year i visited (march) was the reason for a strong smell of sewage. The beach was also littered with rubbish and you could see the local people picking it up on a regular basis. The sea was clear and warm and was a surfers paradise. Sunsets were amazing and the food I had in the restaurants was some of the best around.

Beautiful scenic beach. Not only you can visit beach but enjoy nightlife nearby and watch different live concerts. Mostly I liked to sit on bean bags and eat pizza. Undoubtedly, pizzas in Bali is very delicious. However here prices for food little bit higher than other beaches.

Very busy and touristy! You will not have a problem finding food and beverages. We did a walk from Kuta Beach to Seminyak, we found the walk to be very pleasant, flat, with an okay amount of foot path which eventually ends near Seminyak and you see a lot along the way. We saw many shops, different temples and markets. Just brings heaps of water as it’s hot and humid outside. “Jonique Life” If you find value in our reviews please consider following our social media outlets on Facebook and Instagram as we highlight magical places you can add to your ever growing bucket list.

Being an Aussie, I hold my beach experiences to a high standard. The positives: a welcoming atmosphere with pleasantly warm water (I only dipped my toes in), an array of shops and restaurants nearby for a picturesque sunset meal, and a relaxed vibe ideal for sunbathing. On the downside: constant vendors approaching as soon as you stop, debris and glass scattered on the beach making barefoot walks a bit hazardous, and the inconvenience of navigating around resorts that obstruct beach access. We limited our visits to just one stroll, opting for the safety of the hotel pool. This spot isn't the best for seeking peace and quiet.

All care in the entire stretch of Kuta beach is necessary and the many red flags make this very clear; a pity that many swimmers do not respect the signage... Waves can be quite strong and there are currents, although more parts are more flat than in Kuta or Legian. Still, the sea bath is an invitation and all the infrastructure of tents and kiosks is available, some offered by the nearby hotels. Seminyak is less crowded and therefore more pleasant for the swimmer. I admit I haven't seen much trash, to my surprise.

Loved it the sunset views! Lots of restaurants to choose from, and most of restaurants have live music, good to hang out with friends and family. And, some of the path ways were still under construction, so have to be careful when walking around at night time.

The sand on the beach is darker than on neighbouring Legian or Kuta. Closer to the volcanic. Norod on the beach is scarce. The opportunity to be almost alone, without crowds, is there. I was excited at first, thinking this is where you should come swimming. Until he rejoiced, when he smelled the sewer from a stinking stream flowing into the sea. And then I saw the other one, just wider. So I didn't enjoy the walk.
