Best english tour guide in Shanghai
We took a 4 hour tour in Shanghai, focusing on the history and architecture of the city, for the years 1900 to 1947. The Bund and surrounding streets, and Nanjing Rd E and Nanjing Rd W. The Sassoon family, the Kadoorie family, the Hardoon family, and many more western and Chinese families that left a mark in Shanghai. The Jewish museum tells the story of 20,000 refugees before WW2 and after, during the Japanese occupation of Shanghai. The French and British concessions are also very important during this tour. The guide name: Mary Wu. Her contact: +86 150 0191 3031 Her email: marywinwinwin666@163.com Very knowledgeable guide. Being a local and communicating in very good English, this city tour ( car and walking) was a highlight of our China trip.

The heart and soul of China - by day and night
I first visited the Bund in 1979 when China was first opening up to the world. China was a very different country then but then the Bund was also completely to the other parts of China I visited. On the Bund, couples strolled around hand in hand. That sort of thing was absolutely verboten in the rest of China. I loved the Bund then and still love it now, both by day and night. The promenade allows a close-up view of the constant activity on the Huangpu River and the beautiful old colonial buildings in the old French and British Quarters. By night the area comes alive: there is still plenty of action on the river but highlight is the dazzling lightshow from the skyscrapers across the river at Pudong. Shanghai is an amazing vibrant, dynamic city and to me this essence is captured best on the Bund

Fancy Bund in a different look
I took a half day off to visit the Bund during my business trip in Shanghai, it's a drizzling day, a little bit cold outside, so there are few visitor there, and famous skyscraper like oriental pearl and etc. were hiding in the clouds. It gave me a different kind feeling about this venue, fancy of course, but quite and free, I took the ferry boat to the other side, the Nanjing Xilu, this is a unique experience, I heard that it is extremely popular place for the tourist to go to have fantastic view about the Bund, I highly suggest you to take it at night, a wonderful experience will be guaranteed .

    Must do if in Shanghai
A must visit aspect of Shanghai. I had a few hours in Shanghai before heading off to the airport and walked down to the Bund. Be prepared for crowds however the sight of the towers across the river really is one to behold. There are restaurants and pubs down there as well.

    It's Photogenic And Free
Highly recommend a walk here. We visited in the morning before the fog had cleared and it was still a sight to behold. The front is planted beautifully and is colourful while the buildings across the water were slightly shrouded in fog giving an otherworld feeling. We returned in the evening to a spectacular light show, stunning place to visit.

The famous stretch of waterfront at Puxi. With the historical buildings from Gothic, Renaissance, Art Deco styles, many to look at. Across the huangpu river is Pudong where you see the Pearl tower plus all the skyscrapers Many restaurants and shops as well

    Great vibe and atmosphere
This place is packed with lots of tourists. But there is good crowd control to force tourists to go up the stairs in one direction and exit out another to keep orderly control. Nice to go in the evening when all the lights are up.

    Old and New buildings here
This is one of the most visited places while in Shanghai. Great place to walk along the HuangPu River. We were here on 2 May and the crowds started to build up in the evening. Everyone was there to see the buildings being lighted up. Although it’s very crowded, the crowd control was still very orderly.

Beautiful structures and train in China is very affordable. Shanghai is the most beautiful place in Asia.
Its one of the most beautiful city of Asia. There are so many structures that amazed visitors due to its massive sizes. The Peace Hotel is so amazing. Food in China is delicious and very cheap. One special feature of China is the infrastructures all over. Trains are connected everywhere that you can travel easily from North to South and East to West with an affordable cost. One thing that we admire China is the cleanliness of the place. People seem to have a discipline that every corner of the place is garbage free. Most of all, we love the weather because China has four seasons that you can enjoy.

    Absolute must
This is old Shanghai with all its history. Adjacent to Nanjing Street. Has everything a tourist would want. Dont miss the river cruise and do take it at the time of sunset. We took it at 6.30 pm so we saw the day light scenery and returned by the time it was dark (45 mins cruise). Hence we got to see the fantastic lighting which is similar to the Hong Kong cruise. Affordable and very well maintained vessels and very punctual and organised. An absolute must visit while in Shanghai.

The Multimedia Theatrical Spectacular 'ERA Intersection of Time' has been performed since its debut at Shanghai Circus World in September 2005. It is unique and comparable to the tradition of the Broadway Musical. It is in fact a stunning acrobatic show combining traditional Chinese arts and modern technologies. The performers present Chinese acrobatics, martial arts and dance perfectly in harmony with the music, sound, lighting, and other special effects, which include a water screen. While you marvel at the highly proficient skills of the performers, the story of China's evolution from its ancient past to the future is told. Hence, the title 'Intersection of Time', as the viewpoint of the audience is set in the present between the past and the future. The performance provides a wonderful insight into China's ancient culture and civilization, with sections about Sinan, an ancient Chinese invention for telling directions, soothsaying and conjuring. There is a fantastic section showing an acrobatic program which has elements performed since the far off days of the Han Dynasty (206BC–220AD). With porcelain jars and vats as their stage properties the performers give an overview of Chinese porcelain culture and greater understand of the country's name of 'China'.Modern achievements that are also showcased include Shanghai Donghai Cross-Sea Bridge, Maglev Train, and Shenzhou 5, China's first manned space mission. From these, you can see the amazing development and bright future of Shanghai and the whole country. The 100-minute performance shows not only artistic skills, but also creativity. Aided by multimedia including vision, original live music, sound effects, smell effect, air conditioning and lighting,
