We enjoyed our cheese plate and kids liked their milkshakes. Great prices as-well, very reasonable. Was nice talking to a cheese maker. However they seemed to struggle with more than one customer at a time and needed more people serving as there was a lot of waiting around. Be prepared to wait 15 mins to be served.

Diane was an excellent host walking us through a cheese tasting which featured about 10 cheeses. She answered all our questions and we loved the insights on history of the area that only a local can give. All of their cheese were delicious and the gelato was an added bonus. This is definitely one of our highlights of the Great Ocean Road and not one to be missed.

We thoroughly enjoyed the Great Ocean Road Food trail and this was an unexpected bonus. We had a cheese tasting which was excellent value at 12 or 13 cheeses and 2 gelato for $3. Not only that but we bought 3 cheeses. We would have had a gelato but we were too full from our day on the food trail.

Experience the awesome natural beauty of the world-famous Twelve Apostles. Rising abruptly from the tempestuous Southern Ocean, these seven limestone stacks are the highlight of the Great Ocean Road. They are best viewed at sunset when the yellow rock turns red, orange and every shade in between.

  • Spence Hotels
The best place to buy truly special handmade and locally designed souvenirs on the Great Ocean Road. Spence a.k.a Sue Younis is a local textile artist and milliner who employs other crafty locals to help her produce limited edition ranges of tea cosies, aprons, bags, toys and more. Spence's daughter Clare designs a growing range of 12 Apostles and Great Ocean Road inspired souvenirs as well as a broader Australiana influenced paper range. Spence Australia realises that our visitors are looking for mementoes that are designed and made in Australia. We support other Australian makers and try to keep the majority of our production within the local community. We hope every visitor feels welcome in our shop and our community. As I type, Spence is turning up the stereo so that Abba is loud enough to make the handmade soaps shake. An international visitor is singing along and dancing with a local lady named Sylvia who knits our tea cosies. Introverts need not worry- this isn't an everyday occurrence. As well as our own products, We stock: Thurlby Herb Farm Products, Otway Handmade Soaps, Loosha Candles, Gift of Seeds, Red Tractor Designs, Lily Belle Rose Jewellery and much more.
