Nice cafe with a view of the bay and the exhibition is like an aquarium but very local. Great local sealife and some rescued bay turtles. Well worth the trip. There is a great sandy beach but didn’t see the dolphins.

Staying with family having travelled from the UK. Came down to the visitor centre 3/4 times, all around 8.30am. On each occasion one or two dolphins swam up to the waters edge on the beach. So lovely to see them in the wild. Staff at the centre are excellent. We had breakfast on two of our visits which we found brilliant value for money. Would definitely recommend a visit.

Having booked only a week in advance we were able to jag the most spectacular day with blue skies, warm water and a glassy Koombana Bay. Once fitted out in our wetties etc. we had a bit of a briefing from Kathy, our tour leader with 12 years experience. One inquisitive dolphin had already cruised up to the beach to check everyone out. Hopefully a good sign. Then we were off, chugging out towards The Cut where the pods tend to hang out. And boy oh boy were we in for a treat. Literally dozens of dolphins in pods of 4's, 5's and 6's were cruising around and would often come over to see what we were up to. We've seen many dolphins in the past but never been in the water with them so close that you could reach out and touch them, IF that was OK to do. It's not. Over about half a dozen swims we learnt so much from Kathy who could identify many of our hosts via their dorsal fins. She has a great sense of humour to go with her sizeable knowledge base, so it was also a lot of fun to be there. And to cap things all off, there were two calves about a metre in length, one a couple of weeks old while the other had only emerged from its Mum on the Sunday prior. Absolute joy!! Thank you to one and all involved in our morning's adventure. You have such a great thing going. Bravo.

We went out on the boat trip , at the start Carmel at the front desk could not have been more helpful and so friendly then we went outside to wait for the boat and got talking to Kestrel, lovely knowledgeable young lady , then on the boat the skipper was Jess , again knowledgeable and very friendly, and so good with the group of kids on board who were very well behaved. Wish Jess all the best in doing her Engineers qualification. We went round the interactive exhibition after the trip which was very interesting. Great place to visit, and the cafe is excellent as well. Not to forget a lot of the staff are voluntary, big thanks to them
