    Beautiful gardens with cute wildlife
Not the biggest gardens but definitely very beautiful! Being from QLD we seldom see bunnies around, but little bunnies and ducklings were all over the place (bunnies are probably a pest but gorgeous nonetheless) the variety of plants was amazing and some of the old trees were awe inspiring. Worth a couple hour stroll for sure, and free to get in :)

The best things in life are free!
These lovely gardens are a calm, relaxing, and beautiful oasis mid way between central Hobart and the airport. Since we had a few extra hours before our 4 pm flight, we stopped for lunch at Succulent and spent about an hour in the gardens. We especially loved the water lily pond, the Tasmanian garden, and the huge grey alder. Such a lovely, well tended garden - and best of all, it’s free!

    A Jewel with Water Views
We visited the gardens with a Shore Tour with P&O. There were two options for us to have a guided tour. We were lucky to have Eileen who showed us through the Tasmanian section of the garden and shared a wealth of knowledge about the resident flora. Our tour started around 9am so we were lucky to have the warm morning sun for us to walk around on. The footpaths are well maintained and designed in a way that the inclines are quite tolerable for a fairly unfit individual such as myself. There are a number of stairs, so be mindful should you have mobility restrictions. While we saw and learned a lot in the hour we were present, I would like to spend at least 2 hours visiting again to see the full gardens. Beautiful location, we will surely visit next time we are in Tasmania.

Green Serenity: Royal Tasmanian Botanical Gardens
The Royal Tasmanian Botanical Gardens in Hobart are a peaceful oasis with diverse plant collections. Perfect for a relaxing stroll or a picnic, it offers paved short walks around the park and features a Sub-Antarctic Plant House. Don't miss the cafe, which serves decent coffee and a variety of food options!

    Hobart Botanical gardens
A beautiful botanical gardens not far from the cbd. One of features was the small Japanese garden that just captures the essence of Japan with its little River and stones with a paddle house driving the stream. There are a number of international gardens and plants represented. There is a market style garden beds used for educational purposes. The hop on hop off bus stops at the main entrance. An uber or taxi costs about $10 each way. You can take the 426 bus to the stop at the governors house and walk up about 500 metres to the entrance. You have to walk a fair distance to back on this bus to the cbd. Disability visitors would need to have an electric vehicle to get around as there are some steep paths. Visit 1 to 2 hours.

    Great stop
Stunning gardens, free to visit. The garden is on a slope so might not be great with those who struggle walking. Car park/entrance is current undergoing renovations as is the cafe so expect to see and hear some work going on. Great stop for a couple of hours.

A lovely relaxing garden to enjoy and relax
The garden are close to the city centre. There are renovations at the moment but you can visit the relaxing gardens. Popular with couples who get married at the Lily pond. Bench seats are available to enjoy the scenery .Great photos shots of the Lily pond. Walking shoes are recommended .
