We booked an overnight stay and felt safe and comfortable on board from the very first minute. Everything seems to be very well organized and executed by a lovely and attentative crew. The briefing throughout the entire 2 days by Dino, Augustina and Louis were always on the spot. The cabin offers sufficient space, only the double bed misses a few inches for an adult couple. We snorkeled a total of 4 times (skipped the morning session on day 2) and had great views and sightings in the reef. The equipment was in great condition. We enjoy very minute and highly recommend this crew/team

Our experience with Reef Experience was nothing short of amazing! Their personal approach made our dive trip truly special. The staff were both professional and approachable, making sure we felt at ease throughout. The dive locations they selected were among the finest on the Great Barrier Reef. The free dive was a standout feature, offering a unique and tranquil way to experience the reef up close. With crystal-clear waters, vibrant coral reefs, and a wealth of marine life, this adventure was truly memorable. I highly recommend Reef Experience for anyone wanting to explore the GBR in the most remarkable way!

My friend organised this trip for Us and her partner. It was an early start 7.25am as we got picked up from our hotel and taken to marina where we queued up to get on a boat but before we got on a boat we had our picture take just in front of the boat which we can purchase later on if we wanted to. Once we got on the boat we got our gear which consisted of stinger suit, snorkel mask and flippers and once sat down we were hand in health forms with safety numer which is to be filled first which determines if you are able to participate in dive or not. ( DO NOT LIE - your well-being depends on it) After that we had our breakfast which consisted of egg and bacon bun and plater of fruits which was delicious. Once we got to our first destination we were able to snorkel and everyone who pass health screening had their group number and was able to dive after passed the basic of diving skills and was able to fallow the instructor commands. When instructor was happy with me and me being confident I was taken down with 2 other people into deeper water where I was able to see all sorts of sea creatures , turtles and all sort of different corals there also were diverse who were taking pictures of divers. There also was possibility of me dive in second location for additional A$70 but unfortunately due me flying next day to Adalaide I wasn’t able to do it due to health risk involved. Towards the end of the trip we were offered possibility of purchasing pictures from either snorkelling or dive which from some reviews people complained as being forced. There was no pressure to buy anything and I was more than happy to A$45 for 3 pictures to have these most amazing memories to remember forever.
Thank you for sharing your experience with us! We're glad you enjoyed the snorkeling, diving, and the delicious breakfast. Safety is our top priority, so we appreciate your emphasis on honesty during health screenings. It's great to hear you made wonderful memories and enjoyed your photos without feeling pressured. We hope to welcome you back on another adventure soon! Best Regards, The Reef Experience team

Such an amazing tour out to the most beautiful reefs - it’s truly a lifetime experience. The boat was a great size and the staff were both funny and so friendly. You could do snorkelling as well as scuba diving, and it all felt very safe with good help from instructors. Snorkelling was unlimited, whereas the first scuba dive was free and you could then choose to pay for a second dive, which I thought was fair. However, if you decided to go snorkelling with a marine biologist, which was a great experience but a rather short trip, it was $40 per person, which I find a bit much compared to the fact that you could see the same corals/fish on your own for free. I basically don’t think it was completely fair to charge for that compared to one scuba dive which was free. And it wasn’t very clear that you actually had to pay for it until after the snorkelling was over. But besides this, I can most definitely recommend!
Thank you for your wonderful review Emma! We're thrilled to hear you had an amazing tour and enjoyed the beautiful reefs. It's great to know you felt safe and well-supported by our friendly and funny staff. We appreciate your feedback regarding the cost of the snorkelling tour with the marine biologist. We'll work on making the pricing clearer upfront to avoid any surprises. Your insights are valuable, and we're glad to hear you'd recommend us despite this. We hope to welcome you back for another fantastic adventure! Best Regards, The Reef Experience team

Very nice day out on the Great Barrier Reef. Had bacon and egg rolls served for breakfast, a nice lunch also. The opportunity to scuba dive for 20 minutes free session was great as well. The only thing that made this not a 5 star experience was the pressure to purchase extra add ons every minute. Extra to dive a second time, $35 for one photo of you in the water, they even had a man walking round convincing you to buy one…! I did not like that. I actually wanted to pay extra for a biologist to take me around the reef but turns out she got off the boat and left which was very disappointing. Other than that great day out and saw lots of wildlife, crew were nice.
Thank you for your feedback Holly. We are glad to hear you enjoyed your day on the Great Barrier Reef, including the breakfast, lunch, and complimentary scuba dive. We apologize for any pressure you felt to purchase add-ons and for the disappointment regarding the biologist tour. Your comments are valuable and will help us improve our guest experience. We're happy you saw lots of wildlife and appreciated the crew's efforts. We hope to welcome you back for an even better experience in the future! Best Regards, The Reef Experience team

Fantastic experience! The staff the boat were friendly and passionate about their job! It was my first time diving and they make you really comfortable in the water! Absolutely loved it! I would recommend some ginger or anti sickness tablets for the journey out to the reef, it was a little choppy!
Thank you for your fantastic review! We're delighted to hear that you felt comfortable and enjoyed your first diving experience with our passionate crew. Great tip about the ginger or anti-sickness tablets—we want everyone to have the best possible experience. We hope to see you back on board soon for more underwater adventures! Best Regards, The Reef Experience team

We have just come off the snorkelling day trip from Cairns with Reef Experience and had a really enjoyable time. The weather was a bit choppy and windy but they had travel sickness tablets on board. The staff were super... every one of them. They were friendly, helpful and very professional. We didn't realise that it takes nearly 2 hours to get to the Great Barrier Reef! We visited Norman Reef for snorkelling today. The snorkeling equipment was to a good standard. The crew safety standards and checks were thorough too. Food on board was good with plenty of options for vegetarians. For us the second snorkelling spot was better than the first. In choppy waters, having a buoyancy aid really helped me. I recommend this company.

Snorkeling on the Barrier Reef was amazing. Coral is healthy. Good number of fish. Accommodations very clean and spacious. Food good, though usually relatively cold. Staff very safety conscious and professional, which they demonstrated when an emergency occurred. Environmentally good stewards.

It was such a great experience for my first time in Great Barrier Reef in Cairns. Thank you Reef Experience Team for this unforgettable one day trip. Jip is a nice, friendly and professional scuba diving tutor. Since it was my first time diving, I made a little mistake but she was really patient and helpful during the whole session. Recommended diving tutor. Also thanks to Megan for beautiful pictures of me and my friend. Always stay close to her for the best photos 😀. She is wonderfully talented and has a great smile.

Had the most amazing dive and snorkelling at the Great Barrier Reef with Reef Experience. The team is extremely professional and Janelle made my day! It's easy to see that everyone on board wants you to have the best experience ever! The weather God's were good to us and we had a lovely sunny day. My highlight was swimming will 3 different schools of fishes, one was a bunch of 25, one a bunch of 100 + and one ard 50... The fishes are of all colours of the world ... Got lucky to see a shark and a turtle as well.. the water is crystal clear... Thousands of corals ...patches of pink, purple, green, yellow.. My dive instructor was amazing! Had a fabulous day and definitely a highlight on my trip ❤️
