    Family WOW Tour
The tour exceeded all my expectations. Whilst I have done a number of animal encounters previously this tour was special. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and ensured we had the best experience. I highly recommend the experience to any animal lover.

An amazing day. Being able to be up close and personal with the animals was a real treat. The guide was great, and his knowledge of the animals was exceptional. He even knew most of the animal's names. We had a lovely morning tea and lunch included which was a bonus.

National Zoo and Aquarium Wonders of Wildlife Experience - Canberra Australia
We really loved this experience. Our guide (John) was friendly, engaging, and fun to listen to. He was knowledgeable about the animals and we learned a lot. We loved interacting with all the animals. We were able to hand-feed a large variety of animals including giraffes, otters, roughed lemur, pygmy marmoset, emu, and meerkats. We were able to pet a cheetah and a rhino. We fed larger animals through cages/plexiglass (lion, tiger, hyena). We loved that the pygmy marmosets sat on our shoulders while we fed them and how social the lemurs were. We also really enjoyed hiding food for the sun bear. If you love animals, this is such a great experience. They also provide lunch and mid-morning tea/snack.

    A wonderful day
I recently bought a Wonders of Wildlife tour for my wife which gave her an entire day behind the scenes at the National Zoo & Aquarium. It was a truly wonderful experience as she went behind the scenes to see how the Zoo operates and view at close range the behaviour of so many animals. She was able to feed many of them and learn about their habits and history. She learned about the many efforts the National Zoo & Aquarium is making to not only provide an active and healthy environment for the animals but their involvement in animal conservation programs around the world. We highly recommend the Zoo and this tour for anyone.

We did the Wonders of Wildlife (WOW) tour and had the pleasure of having Will as our guide. He literally made the experience phenomenal. So knowledgable, funny and insightful. He's a great team member you're lucky to have. Highly recommend the tour - its the best value for money. AJ

Wonders of Wildlife experience - the most magical day
I did the Wonders of Wildlife experience - it's not cheap but it's worth every penny/cent! All of the staff were extremely welcoming and friendly and my host Brendan was just fabulously knowledgeable and kind. I met and fed so many animals such as tigers, cheetahs, a hyena, giraffes, monkeys, birds, reptiles and a tree kangaroo to name a few and I feel so privileged to have been able to do this, the day really was beyond my wildest dreams! I had the most magical and awe inspiring day - I just can't find enough superlatives to fully describe what a fabulous day I had, the memories will stay with me forever and if I ever return to Canberra I will do it all again!

    Zookeeper for a day
We did the WoW experience, and it was absolutely phenomenal. Being able to feed all these different, exotic animals and interact with them was a dream come true. The zoo itself is run well, clean, and you can tell all the animals are happy and healthy, and have such good bonds with the keepers.

    Wonders of Wildlife
This was the best experience we have ever had. Taylor our guide went above and beyond and was very knowledgeable and answered all our questions. To be able to touch some of these amazing animals was something we will treasure forever. And knowing some of the money we spent on this experience goes back to helping these beautiful animals makes me happy also. We will definitely do this again.

    Close Encounters
We met John and Angela who were our guides for the day. John has worked at the Zoo for around 6 years and is tremendously experienced. He was informed and engaging throughout the entire day. Angela was “learning the ropes” but an interesting guide to discuss aspects of our day with and also informed (Apologies for any hard questions Angela). We arrived at 7.45am and after intros we were on our way. Our highlights were without doubt meeting and feeding the Lemurs, tree kangaroos and other small monkeys and Otters who were very engaging. Meeting and feeding the Giraffes was also a highlight for us having seen the majestic animals in the wild. The animals are so gentle and, yes polite when it comes to feeding it was such a joy and well worth the investment. What should have been a highlight was getting up close to one of the Cheetahs, the one we meet was called Solo (I think). We are thoughtful visitors and follow instruction well I hope, but the experience with meeting Solo was a low point thanks to the Keeper. We felt that the experience was so “sanitised” it lost its impact. The handler was very detached from us rather than inclusive and we had to push the conversation for her to engage. We understand the significance of these contacts which is why we paid for the privilege. I don’t want the latter comment to over shadow the tour or detract anyone from engaging in the activity. But this bit needs to be fed back to the owners as it is promoted as a highlight of the day. BTW John and Angela were not involved in this part of the encounter. Thank you John and Angela for such good company and informative and engaging day.

Night zoo adventure tours are awesome!!!
Anyone thinking of doing the night zoo adventure, don’t hesitate! We had the best night. Staff were all amazing and so knowledgeable you can tell how passionate they all are, it’s quiet, you get a very personal tour with your guide. The animals were very interactive on our tour. Will definitely go again and can’t stop raving about how good it was. So much better than walking around yourself. Love love loved it!!
