Highlight of the Azores! After two weeks exploring São Miguel, Faial and Pico, this 24 hour expedition made my trip. Manuel made everything easy, provided quality gear, and kept us all safe. While it’s possible to do this hike without a guide, I highly recommend the overnight climb with Pico Me Up. Watching the sunset above the clouds after an arduous hike up, spending a gorgeous night under the stars, and taking in the sunrise at the summit await you if you decide to go this route. The way down was mentally and physically taxing, but Manuel knew when to break, when to give us a heads up about obstacles, and how to keep our spirits up. 10/10 recommend.

Magical 5 stars because I can't put any more... There are moments when you know you're going to remember them for the rest of your life. We can then savor every moment... This experience was one of those moments... It has to be said that the weather was perfect and the Pico was at its best... The 5 of us enjoyed a privileged moment at the top of the mountain, watching the sun set above the clouds with an unobstructed view of the horizon. Sunrise was less intimate, but just as wonderful. I was forgetting what undoubtedly made the experience unforgettable: our guide Matéo. I can't remember ever being so well accompanied on a tour. He's really top-notch. A real enthusiast, attentive, giving real advice, with humor and intelligence. He made the experience unique... Obrigado Mateo PS: thanks also to Valentina & Alessandra for their sympathy and good humor and especially for the information about pinacolada a Sao Miguel 🤤. Climbing the Peak was a dream made a reality. Some say it is a pilgrimage for Azorians or those who love the Azores - I fully endorse it. It was magical. Pico Me Up was recommended to us by a friend, and the choice could not have been better. The Manuel is a fantastic Guide, transmits safety and tranquility, with him, no one is left behind. Adapts the rhythm to the group, with stops exactly at the right heights, so we reached the highest point of Portugal without exhaustion and enjoy every second of this experience. The night's well worth it, the sunset and sunrise, the stars, and the hot soup you learned for life. Thank you Manuel! Spectacular, I recommend 100% and hope to repeat one day!

Picomeup provided an extraordinary experience from start to finish! Climbing Pico Mountain with them was beyond anything I could have imagined. Manuel, our guide, was simply exceptional—his deep knowledge of the mountain, combined with his infectious enthusiasm, made the entire journey unforgettable. He ensured that everyone felt safe, motivated, and excited throughout the climb. The breathtaking views and the sense of accomplishment upon reaching the summit were incredible, but it was Manuel's expert guidance and the seamless organization by Picomeup that truly made this adventure outstanding. Highly recommended for anyone seeking an unforgettable adventure! 10/10

Amazing experience with hike and overnight stay on the Pico mountain. The tent, sleeping bag, small pillow and sleeping pad were all in excellent condition and very clean. Manuel was a great guide, as bonus we could buy vegetable soup and he surprised us with tea/coffee on top of Piquinho while watching an amazing sunrise. He rescheduled our hike to a day earlier to make sure we had the best weather conditions. Quick and clear communication. Would highly recommend to book with "Pico me up"! (Beware, the hike is demanding, make sure you are in good physique and experienced to hiking)

The experience of a lifetime. Of a brutal intensity, physical and mental. A dream fulfilled, another long goal in my life. Without the support of the Picomeup team I would not have succeeded, Nuno and Manuel were exceptional. Manuel literally took me a “weight from above”, “saved me” from the immense load and made me believe in Super Men. I ate the best soup of my life, in the light of the stars, in an idyllic place in the company of wonderful people. I slept in the sound of the wind and illuminated by the most beautiful sky in the world. I drank a hot tea, which warmed my body and soul as I watched the magic of the sunrise. I felt the heat of the earth at the highest point in Portugal. What better could I ask? I've never felt so close to God... thanks to Manuel and Nuno from Picmeup, without them nothing of this was possible!

First of all I want to thank Manel Goulart from Pico Me Up for his amazing Guide and person, without him I would not have been able to realize this great dream that seemed impossible to me and also for the incredible companionship of the group. Thank you for your help and patience! A dream that I wanted to realize for some time but I was always delaying because I thought I couldn’t, but eventually came the day, the day to challenge myself physically as I had never done. The journey was quite tough, but the experience was amazing, surreal, I have no words to describe what I felt and saw up there, that starry sky and silence, everything was magical. Now I look at the mountain and think “I was really there?” This is for us Grandpa, who never had the opportunity to meet you but who fortunately managed to pass your passion on this island which I call refuge. I let myself look at Piquinho, thinking about you and the stories Grandma tells and couldn't believe where she was. This connection is also due to the fact that it is the only place where I feel most connected to you and that is why I feel immensely grateful and happy. ⛰️❤️

Climb to Pico on April 24th with an overnight stay in the crater to descend on the 25th after watching the best sunrise ever! Choosing Pico Me Up to make the climb was the best decision, the guide Manuel Goulart was extraordinary, in addition to knowing the mountain like the back of his hand, he was always very helpful and helped us a lot during this adventure. Highly recommended 👌🏔️

A big thanks in particular to Manuel, who made sure that everyone felt safe and motivated during the entire climb. Day 29 I went up, day 30 my body went down... the head is still there, literally clouds! It was an incredible experience, indescribable the beauty of the rise (it is precious to look back from time to time) and the way the Universe surprises us with the colors of sunset and dawn with the clouds at our feet, with the light of the stars during the night... all so intense that I do not have the right words to adjective! Good luck, Manuel Goulart, for the passion you convey in what you do, and also to Nuno, our "co-guide". It was all great 5✨️✨️✨️✨️✨️
