Olive-growing and the production of olive oil have had a prominent place in the town of Campo Maior since ancient times. In this context, the Lagar-Museu do Palácio Visconde d'Olivã is a space that illustrates one of the oldest technologies linked to agriculture, a dominant activity in Campo Maior's economy until the mid-20th century. Structured to function as a single space, the museum nevertheless has different areas. Starting at the centre, where an olive oil mill and all its workings are recreated, visitors also have access to a multimedia room, an ethnography area and temporary exhibitions.

The Interpretive Centre of the Abaluartada Fortification of Campo Maior (CIFA) is the best way to learn all about this impressive structure that contains centuries of history. Having undergone an exemplary renovation, which was completed in 2021, a visit to the CIFA includes, in addition to the walls and the castle, a series of rooms and spaces where visitors will have the opportunity to get to know various aspects of Campo Maior's military history. The Campo Maior Museum of Sacred Art, owned by the Church Factory of the Parish of São João Baptista, offers visitors a journey through the history of salvation, based on a vast collection of paintings, images, pieces of furniture and jewellery, collected from various churches in the municipality of Campo Maior, which constitute a unique document and an illustration of the religiosity of the people of Campo Maior between the 16th and 20th centuries. It is housed in the Chapel of Nossa Senhora do Carmo, in the historic centre of Campo Maior, in Rua de São João Baptista. This chapel is a true jewel in the crown of Baroque popular architecture and was commissioned by Father José Coelho Pereira in 1801 with alms from the people.

The Casa-Museu Santa Beatriz da Silva was inaugurated on 1 September 2013, the day on which the saint's liturgical feast is also celebrated. The space is intended to be a place of reflection and evocation of the work, life and spirituality of the first Portuguese saint, born in Campo Maior and founder of the Order of the Immaculate Conception. This monastic order currently has 158 monasteries in 15 countries on four continents, where its nuns dedicate their lives to Christ in perpetual cloister.

Located right in the town centre, this new facility is equipped to host exhibitions and other cultural events and represents a new urban and social dynamic for Campo Maior. Espaço.arte is the result of a project to refurbish the former EB1 School on Avenida and is important in terms of local territorial policy in terms of improving the urban environment and revitalising urban areas, especially in historic areas and those on the border with the rest of the urban area, with a special focus on revitalising public spaces that enable new population, economic and cultural dynamics to emerge.

The recently inaugurated Festas do Povo Interpretive Centre - Casa das Flores, housed in the same space as the Open Museum, aims to show visitors the history behind one of Portugal's biggest popular culture events. The origins and history of the Festas do Povo, the way they are organised, the magic of the night of stringing and the beauty of the paper flowers made by the hands of the people of Campomaior are some of the themes that visitors will have the opportunity to experience.
