In my opinion it was the most spectacular thing seen in Barcelona. A magnificent example of Catalan modernism, it was designed in the early 20th century by Lluís Domènech i Montaner. If the exterior is beautiful, the interior is even breathtaking. In this regard I suggest to buy tickets online (in peak periods well in advance) because only guided tours are allowed: we participated in the one in Italian with a very good guide. The concert hall is the most fascinating place with a teardrop skylight that would represent the sun and large side windows that allow its use even in the absence of artificial light. We also had the opportunity to appreciate the acoustics. It is currently home to the Orfeó Català, a choral society in Catalonia.

We originally thought we would just tour this building, but when I read reviews from others indicating that they had actually watched a live performance, I searched the calendar and discovered that the Symphony Orchestra was going to be performing while we were in town. We therefore bought tickets and had an amazing time - not just enjoying the music but doing so in an incredibly beautiful building. (Some performance tickets also include the ability to do a self-guided tour in advance of the show.). If you are able to do so, I highly recommend catching a show here - it was one of the most enjoyable things we did while in Barcelona.

This fabulous building was designed by Lluis Domenech i Montaner and built between 1905 and 1908, and has been designated a World Heritage Site. Unfortunately, this sparkling work of Montaner is overshadowed by hype around Gaudi's creations. The exterior is highly ornate (very nicely lighted at night). We thought the old ticket boxes in the entrance columns were really cool. Inside, there are great tiles (including tiled columns), grand stairways, the incredible multi-colored stained-glass skylight, and carved muses. The concert hall seats 2,200. We paid 16 euros each (seniors rate) for a guided tour in English (normal regular price for adults is 22 euros).

This music hall is a masterpiece of catalan art nouveau or Jugendstil. Rich in details and ornaments it is a monument of better days of Spain and Catalonia. The place is quite frequented, so better book tickets in advance and in the early morning hours - before the guided tours show up.

We buy tickets at the time (2) with digital brochure. It is an architectural work that must be known. Thousands of details, colors and shapes. This is a concert hall that I imagine has spectacular acoustics. So much so that we take tickets for a Gregorian choir that will sing on some days. Absolutely recommended.

We wanted to visit here so what better way than to watch the Gran Gala Flamenco (which we highly recommend), but this is about the Palace of Catalan Music and its a very special building. You can walk in off the street and see the entryway, which is worth it for a quick look but if taking in a show you get to see a lot more, there's the bar area, the foyer and of course the theatre itself. All areas are very photogenic and well worth visiting especially if you have the chance to take in a show.

This is the most stunning theatre you will ever see. It’s hard to know where to look. It’s a piece of art. Entry is €18 or €22 with an audio guide. We were very lucky to hear somebody playing the organ while we were in there and it was amazing! The details are incredible. Have a look.

A very charming place, with a unique atmosphere. The attention to detail and the details to admire make it definitely worth seeing. The only observation... The cost of the ticket, three admissions 54 €, despite choosing the basic ticket without Audio Guide, I personally think it is decidedly high to visit the theater hall, without even giving you the opportunity to go on stage, which instead is allowed to tours with Guide. But after all, the philosophy of "the vacationer pays"... reigns supreme in Barcelona.

A memorable evening at the Palace of Catalan Music. The building itself, the architecture has already been produced. UNESCO World Heritage Site, Art Nouveau. In the concert hall, you want to look at all the details. The huge dome is made of mosaics. Many sculptures, such as a bust of Beethoven or a flight of Valkyrie, on stage Greek muses. I recommend the flamenco guitar trio. Very professional, with Spanish soul and virtuoso. The schedule is available on Palau's official website, where you can buy tickets. I took the front row, I recommend, to see all the emotions, the details.

As seen from the sky, this building, designed by the Swiss architects Herzog & DeMeuron, is a perfect equilateral triangle with 180 m long sides and a height of 25 m, suspended on pillars. Geometric spaces, changing tones depending on the light, glass doors and a metallic kaleidoscopic interior are some of the qualities that make up this building’s strong personality. The shape of the courtyards emerges from the juxtaposition of the two urban design elements of the Cerdà Plan and the stretch of road that is the Diagonal. Its rough blue facade is crisscrossed by different strips of glass that suggest the idea of water running down from the roof. The interiors of the auditorium and exhibition halls are designed to be hybrid spaces. The capacity of the Auditorium is 3,084 people.

La Paloma is a dance hall located in the Raval district of Barcelona. It is one of the oldest and most famous in Catalonia. Despite the fact that its external appearance preserves the physiognomy of an industrial building, its interior enjoys a luxurious baroque decoration with a French touch, that gives it a sense of distinction and unique attractiveness. The sala features expressive lighting and frescos by Salvador Alarma designer of the Gran Teatre del Liceu.

Basilica de la Sagrada Familia is a church devoted to the Holy Family. One of Antoni Gaudi’s most famous works, the church is perhaps best known for still being under construction since 1882—with works funded purely by donations. Take a lift to the top of the towers for a panoramic view of the city and marvel at the ornate architecture. The nativity facade and crypt have also been awarded UNESCO World Heritage Status. Skip the line with a pre-booked tour with tower access, or combine your visit with another of Gaudi's work, Parc Guell. – Tripadvisor
