First revisit in a long time and I have no regrets beautifully kept garden well done to all the gardeners and volunteers/staff. The entrance fee is well worth it and I will definitely visit again at least once during each change of season. Pathways meandering through the flower beds, well placed benches with lovely views of Perth and beyond. The tearoom is a proper tearoom the ladies in there were so nice delicious cakes and drinks. We came for art inspiration and a quick nibble, take your time in the garden there’s no rush, soak up the smells and sounds of a well established loved garden and enjoy life

We stayed in the Branklyn garden cottage for a week in early May and really enjoyed it. This garden is very special and early May when the rhododendrons and azaleas are blooming make it spectacular. The two bedroom cottage is near the entrance to the garden and was warm, comfortable and spacious. Every window has a magnificent view over the garden and it was a great place to relax. There was a little road noise at times but barely noticeable and very quiet at night. A real bonus being a guest at the National Trust for Scotland accommodation is being to walk about the garden after hours when it is closed to the public. There are so many rare and unusual plants and the garden staff are so knowledgable and helpful. There is also a tea room with quite delicious food. The walks into Perth and along the river are also very accessible.

I have enjoyed Branklyn Garden on many occasions and this was no exception except the coffee in the tea room was very poor and there were lots of dogs. Surely dog owners can be separated from their companion(s) for the time required for a visit to a small garden? I, personally, do not wish to spend time in a dog-exercise yard.

We called in here on the spur of the moment to make a break in our long journey northbound. We were very glad we did as the gardens were beautiful- so many colours, especially the rhododendrons and lots of the blue poppies to admire. We used our 2 for 1 gardens voucher which made for a good value visit too. Take time to read the website to get clear directions to the car park. We didn’t !
