When we asked her to add a wine tasting to our afternoon excursion, our Tours By Locals guide brought us to the Santo Tomas Miramar tasting room in the heart of Ensenada.   We had a wonderful time there in large thanks to Viridiana’s wine knowledge and personal kindness.   She made sure we were comfortable, moving us to a sunny spot on the plaza for the start of our tasting and answering all our questions about the wine, the winery and the history of Ensenada.  This was a highlight of our week-long stay in Baja.

We visited Ensenada as part of a cruise and decided to book a tasting directly on their website instead of a shore excursion. While we were there, a shore excursion group came to this winery and felt very rushed. We had tons of fun with the tour and had ample time to relax and enjoy the wine. The tasting room is located in downtown Ensenada and it was a reasonable walk away from the port. Our tour guide Francisco was amazing and the tasting package was very generous. Would go again!

Great first time visit. The vineyards are Southeast of Ensenda, not in the Plaza. It was Saturday about 1pm in the afternoon and we were the only guests at first which was nice. It was a beautiful, warm summer day. They had oyster pairing vendors from La Paz, Mexico to showcase the new sparkling wine which was a delicious and vibrant pairing. The rest of the tastings were done inside the wine tasting room. We tried a couple of whites, the rose, and three reds. The gentleman host was mildly knowledgeable, but pleasant. We asked for the olive oil tasting, but he forgot about this and then moved on to other guests that arrived after we purchased four bottles of wine. We did not purchase olive oil as a result. There was no grounds tour whatsoever or explanation of the years of winery history there unfortunately. Such a bummer. This historical winery totally misses the mark on capturing the essence of everyone craving the history of their particular mark in wine making in that area. Also, a small tour of the grounds/distillery would be nice.

Viri, Michelle, Eridiana and Franciscan. The best host, super relaxing place and the new crops of the best, super recommended to have a good time. This time I had to try tempranillo-cabernet, and indeed met all my expectations visit them if you really want to have a very good time accompanied or alone, with children or family, the best place

Amazing explanation from a completely inexperienced person, I could feel the aroma and taste. I am completely comfortable with Alonso at Cava San Antonio de los Minas. I am very happy to see the wine proof received completely.

Incredible experience where you have an incredible sensory perception, the tasting of the 2 wines (white, rosé and 2 red) super rich, teach you history, the very nice videos and Laura made us the tour unmatched !!! Highly recommended, you have to come!!!!!

Santo Tomas was fantastic in every way. From the staff, to the amazing technology used in the historical presentation, to the delicious wine, everything was awesome. The grounds are also gorgeous. Don't miss this fabulous winery!
