At the beginning of September we stayed a whole day at Tokyo Disneyland amusement park. Located southeast of Tokyo, along the Pacific coast, easily accessible by public transport. From downtown Tokyo you have to take the Y (gold) subway line to Shin-kiba terminus station, then take the JR train line and get off at Maihama station (directly in front of the park entrance). Access to the park was relatively fast (15/20 minutes queue): you check the metal detector and scan the tickets directly with your mobile phone. Tokyo Disneyland park covers a vast area, there are attractions and rides for every taste and age. There is no shortage of fun. In the evening the inevitable closing parade along the main street: the floats were all lit, full of life and fun, lots of music and dancers dressed as the most famous Disney characters. The castle is the center of the park. Along Main Street, which is completely covered, are the main souvenir and gadget shops. The weather was excellent, so much heat and clear skies (first week of September). The cost of eating at bars/restaurants is adequate compared to the exorbitant prices at Disneyland Paris. Several vending machines for drinks are scattered throughout the park: the half-liter bottle of water cost 200 yen. Inside the park the signs and directions of the attractions are well placed. Very kind, professional and welcoming all the staff of the park. Cleanliness and order reign supreme. We bought the day tickets directly on the official website of the park choosing the date of entry, we paid the equivalent of 16800 yen total for two people (adults). On the application of the park you can see the map of the attractions with waiting times, locate the restaurants / bars / toilets and all the souvenir shops, also there is the entrance ticket in the form of a QR code. I recommend comfortable shoes: you really walk a lot. We chose to go to Tokyo Disneyland in the week (Friday) on advice since on the weekend it is very very crowded. For those who love the Disney world it is mandatory to stop at this beautiful park.

It is nice to experience Disneyland in a different country. Even though it was shi**y weather, the park is full of people. We arrived around 9:30 at the park and went in pretty quickly. Beautiful park and clean. Beautiful parades. Taking pictures with Disney characters walking around the park, was so difficult because there was no system accept for pushing your child in there and take a quick picture or you wait 30 min until 1 hour in line to take a picture with Mickey. Every child should get a chance to take a picture with the characters, that’s why we visit parks like this and spend huge amount of money. The other thing is, the damn DPA tickets. Why do they get sold out? We want to enjoy the rides and not wait 300min to ride a 1 min rollercoaster. Disney land should have DPAs available all the time to enjoy the park instead of making guests stressing about purchasing DPA quickly or running around the park catching the next ride. I would have spend more money if there were more DPA available and had enjoyed it more. We didn’t experienced all the rides because of the crowds, it’s like lining up sheep’s and we are not willing to wait 2-3 hours especially when you travelling with toddlers and baby. Don’t know if I want if I want to visit the park again.

Let's start from the practical, we went beginning of September and opted to be there early to enjoy a full day. We arrived around 8.30am and the park opens at 9 am. So waiting in the sun without any shade was deadly, I would not do that again, but go a little later to avoid that part. Do download the disney tokyo app and if you are interested in going to a particular restaurant don't leave the booking to the last minute but do it days before. Once in, scan your ticket on the app and you can then use the passes to skip the lines, which were good, but my son only used it once for the rest the waiting time was decent max 25min down to 5min. Others more in vogue, waiting times went up to 50mins. Pirates of the Caribbean was one of my favourite..better than EURO Disney and even It's a small world. The star wars experience, I do recommend it and from the vibe star wars don't seem to a big thing in Japan compared to home, so we just went in. I have some mobility limitations right now, so the descriptions of the rides on the app were helpful. Tom Sawyer and Mark Twain, jungle cruise and the western railroad are goid too. Peter Pan compared to EURO Disney felt rushed and even Pinocchio and Snow White, which was a pity..those rides are meant to be enjoyed at a slower cruising time. Tokyo Disneyland doesn't have many adrenaline rushed rides, which I think are within TokyoDisneySea. We managed over 10 rides and attractions till 4pm in Disneyland, so potentially one can opt to divide the day between both parks, if you only have one day to visit.

I would rate this park 3.5 really, as the fireworks were suspended for the whole time we were there, even though the weather was ok. I heard a new show was being prepared but they need to be able to have the old show still going and practise their new show after hours like they do in the US so people get what they paid for… Plus it’s ludicrous to pay 200 yen to get on and off a monorail that has four stops . Orlando is free and goes much further ! You can go on that on free even if you are entering a park at all and just want to resort hop. It was an enjoyable day, even though Space Mountain is down for two years getting replaced and Haunted Mansion also was down. At least you could get on rides here in a reasonable time, unlike our experience at Disney Sea. Beauty and the Beast was fabulous ( we did pay for a priority pass ) but I also went again in 30 mins by lining up at 8.30pm before park closing. This park had the Disney feel at least ! Probably because they ( Oriental Land COMPANY who own these parks, NOT Disney ) are contracted to provide an agreed park layout and experience for this park unlike Disney Sea. This HAD to look like a US Disneyland . There was a lot of shade, seats to rest on, food available without waiting in the sun just to get into the eatery and water taps. The Jungle Cruise boat driver made every one laugh and even though we couldn’t understand him, we had a ball. We clapped him at the end and this obviously was not a normal thing here, unlike the USA where many people clap the driver ( it is a performance). He seemed to appreciate we appreciated his skill. Very enthusiastic! Cast members were very friendly and I loved Splash Mountain( we paid extra for that too but the av wait time was 40 mins ). I am excited to see the new Tiana’s version in LA but always love the old one. If you don’t win the lottery for the shows, still go and wait as there were loads of seats left when we saw Mickey’s Magical Musical World , lovely theatre to watch great dancing even though the sound is obviously prerecorded. In the ten mins before it started a lot of people were let in to fill the spare seats . If in Tokyo , visit Disneyland not Disney Sea. Have an enjoyable day not a miserable one!

Get vacation package, just get it. It’s worth it. 2 days vacation package should be perfect, we had it 3, it was too much. For a vacation package you can access Disney sea, and fantasy springs that just open in June 2024. The most awesome was that with the package, we don’t need to line up in the queue at all, we did all them 4 within 1 hour we were there at 13:00, so we actually had all day to do whole Disney sea. The queue for frozen was 85 mins, and walked straight in queue inside for let’s say 10 min max.

This location is quite popular, and as a result, it gets very crowded. The amusement park opens at 9:00 AM, but by then, there are already nearly a hundred thousand people waiting, which can be overwhelming. Therefore, if you plan to visit, be prepared for long queues, whether it's for entering the park, dining, souvenir shops, attractions, or even the restroom. Navigating through the crowd can be a bit challenging. As for the attractions, each ride lasts no more than 2 minutes, but the wait time ranges from 30 minutes to 1.5 hours. If you're not very enthusiastic about the long waits, it might not be the most enjoyable experience for you. However, if you're visiting Tokyo, this landmark is definitely worth a visit at least once.

As it is overrated for crowdedness, I must admit that they are quite organized at Tokyo Disney and they do start to let people in before the official opening time without major hassles as compared to the USA when the crowd runs after being admitted in the park. Everyone is very orderly here. They open at 9a.m. and arriving here around 8-8:15a.m. is good enough as around 8:30-8:35 a.m. they start screening bags. The main thing is that you need to have your Tokyo Disney app up and ready with wifi in purchasing your DPA (Disney Priority Access) tickets for particular shows/rides if you want to avoid the wait in long lines and check availability on the 40th Anniversary Priority Pass. If you encounter any issues to purchase your DPA's, go get help. They are very helpful and also give out Birthday sticker badges, 1st time Visit stickers and Mickey Mouse balloon stickers. We did not expect too much for our visit as it was raining when we arrived but it all worked out well as the rain stopped by midday. Disney popcorn buckets are such a popular item in Tokyo Disney, so if you are interested in a particular one, make sure you make a dash to get it immediately when you arrive in the park. We wanted to purchase Winnie the Pooh's Honey Pot Popcorn bucket but we found the popcorn stand to be closed indefinitely. We asked the Winnie the Pooh Honey Hunt Ride cast member and one of them was so kind enough to check online and located that the Big Pop Store in Tomorrowland had it available. We scurried over there immediately and we were so delighted to be able to purchase one with Strawberry Napoleon flavor popcorn. Oh, also with each purchase of a popcorn bucket, you also get it filled with the flavor of popcorn you choose. We were so fortunate that the popcorn bucket was available and the cast member found it for us. He definitely went above and beyond in his call of duty! It was worth the visit to Tokyo Disneyland as the Expressway Bus to Tokyo Disney Resort at the Shinjuku Bus Terminal was a direct ride and was very convenient for us as we did not have to transfer lines. It was only a 35-40 minute ride without stops.

We stayed at Disneyland Hotel & we get to enter earlier through Happy Entry 15mins before other. I got everything well planned ahead and my 1st game is Baymax. Once you entered Disneyland, you can make reservation of the game through Disney Resort Apps. There are games that required payment & i paid only for Beauty & the Beast game as the game can have queue up to 120mins on non-peak day. You can also book your meal and collect it at the time mentioned. Rest assured that the food will not be prepared until you show them the booking. We had fun there as we had most the game covered by lunch time. My kids had a nap & continue to play until evening. We went back to hotel at 6pm & re-entry before 8pm for the fireworks.

The rides were mostly excellent and utilized mostly animatronics instead of CGI. The rides were full compared to the shows, as the shows we attended were generally half full and didn't have queues. On the other hand Popular rides had queues up to two hours even at night. Compared to the other Disney park I've been to id recommend doing as much rides possible as the shows weren't that great. It rained lightly on our visit so the light show was cancelled. We didn't notice any Japanese food in the restaurants which was surprising. Pricing within the park was decent and no paper ticket required if you have e-tickets. Park can be covered in two days, highly recommended

Great experience, beautiful park and super nice. We did the evening pass with access at 5 pm (in my opinion great choice for those in Tokyo in the hottest period) and, despite the limited time available, we were able to do numerous attractions. As soon as we entered we headed to the Beauty and the Beast Attraction which had 40min of queue so we activated the Skip the line ticket, then we managed to do another five/six attractions in the Toontown and Fantasyland areas and to see the evening parade: wonderful show, we sat along the main road about 20 minutes before the start, in the second row, but we saw everything very well. Recommendation attractions of Winnie the Pooh and It's a small world.
