Generally a quiet place graced with lovely terrain for strolling, Glastonbury is very busy in the summer because of its music festival. Best known for contemporary music, the festival has attracted almost 200,000 people in recent years (whereas Glastonbury's full-time population is only 9,000 or so). There are a number of historical monuments to see in the area, including Glastonbury Lake Village, Glastonbury Abbey and the Somerset Rural Life Museum. We can't say that the weather is always good, but on a sunny day you can't go wrong!

The name Wells comes from the city's three wells dedicated to St. Andrew. Now there's a fun factoid to fill up your next awkward silence. In England's smallest city, you won't find the big summer crowds of nearby Glastonbury. Instead, you'll have more than enough room to sight-see as you please. And there are plenty of youth clubs to entertain the kiddies while you wander. The cathedral in Wells is the landmark attraction, but also check out the nearby Bristol Zoo Gardens and International Helicopter Museum.

Intriguing nicknames for the city of nearly 200,000 include The Land of Giants and Arm Hackers Town. Situated on the island's north shore, this Atlantic city is considered part of the metropolitan San Juan area. Popular attractions include Carolina Beach, Casa Escute art gallery, Caribbean Raceway Park and Isla Verde Mall. To make the most of your visit, consider renting a car.

Laid out by British architect Edwin Lutyens, the Indian capital is a striking modern metropolis. A gracious contrast to Old Delhi's winding streets, the grand avenues and stately buildings of New Delhi are rich with history and culture, from Gandhi's Delhi home (and the site of his assassination) to the tomb of Humayun, a complex of Mughal buildings reminiscent of the Taj Mahal. Chaotic traffic is best left to the locals. Negotiate a good price for taxis or travel on the new Delhi Metro.
