- KansasIn Kansas, we invite you to travel off the beaten path — our favourite place to be. Join thousands of cyclists at Unbound Gravel, the world’s premiere gravel bike event through the rolling Flint Hills. Witness an unfiltered, fiery sunset over 11,000 acres of the last remaining native North American tallgrass prairies. Stand in wonder at Little Jerusalem and Monument Rocks, the ragged land formations that tower over the Midwestern skyline, unearthing fossilized secrets from ancient saltwater seas. Get outdoors and hunt large populations of whitetail deer and waterfowl, or fish year-round in our unrestrained lakes. Camp under the stars, go horseback riding, and play disc golf at 29 state parks, then dine at a neighbourhood family-owned restaurant serving saucy, smoky Kansas BBQ only found in cattle country. Discover the beauty of exploring the open road with an open heart, driving our 12 scenic and historic byways. Stop at a quirky roadside attraction, like the world’s largest ball of twine, or visit the Cosmosphere that holds the world's largest collection of Soviet and U.S. Space Race memorabilia outside of the Smithsonian. Immerse yourself in cowboy culture in Dodge City and Abilene, or visit the bustling cities of Wichita, Lawrence, and Kansas City, all richly diverse in creative arts, culture, and possibilities. The Sunflower State has something for everyone. From rest and relaxation to adventure and exploration, come holiday in Kansas.Read more

- New MexicoWith its rich cultural heritage from Native American and Spanish settlers, New Mexico has been both a Spanish colony and a Mexican colony, and still retains a strong individual identity within the United States. The landscape is breathtaking, the food incredible, and there is a thriving cultural scene, all of which makes New Mexico, and Santa Fe in particular, a great place and a family friendly holiday destination all year round.
With the Rocky Mountains and the famous Route 66 both passing through New Mexico, there are some obvious attractions to explore, and that's before you consider taking a day out to explore Roswell to look for UFO wreckage, or Los Alamos (where the atomic bomb was developed). The other major towns are the capital Albuquerque (home of an amazing hot air balloon festival), and the tourist hotspot Santa Fe up in the mountains. Santa Fe is an artistic centre, and there are many museums and galleries to explore, as does nearby Taos. Santa Fe has a lot to recommend it, there's the art scene, the scenic beauty of this city at 7,000 feet, and then there's the diversity of the arts, food and people themselves. It has a very small, compact downtown, which is easy for a family to walk around, and a host of film festivals, art festivals, wine festivals and other special events throughout the year.
