Our Story Teddys Bar is named after the late Teddy Blaney. Teddy bought the Letterkenny Rugby Club, formally Boyce's Half Way Bar & Lounge, in the late 80's. The family decided to name it "The Silver Tassie" as this was the name of a well-known pub outside Dublin where Teddy had his first bar job in the 1960s. The Silver Tassie bar was renamed "Teddy's Bar" in June 2024 in his honour and to mark our 25th anniversary of becoming a hotel.
