My husband booked us a meal and room here as a surprise. The meal was beautiful, very tasty, just enough of each course without leaving us stuffed at the end of the night. The room was comfortable and had everything we needed. We had a very lovely stay. We very much enjoyed our breakfast too and having the village store...

A great 3 night break in lovely warm, cosy surroundings. A lovely spacious room, very clean and comfortable. We ate in the bar all 3 nights, really interesting menu and lovely food mostly all home grown or home reared from their own farm shop. We particularly enjoyed the two and a half mile walk through the estate to Ludlow and...

We have eaten at the Clive many times over a long period of time and have stayed there previously. I would up to now have rated the food and service as excellent. However this time I had to ask the waiter to take my order after waiting far longer than necessary. The risotto was more like a stiff rice pudding,...

We stayed for the New Year as we had the previous year. It was great to have a warm welcome from familiar staff. The food was really excellent on both nights we ate in - plenty of choice and friendly service. Wine list whilst not extensive for some is reasonably priced and has a reasonable range to suit most tastes....

My family has used the Clive in its various incarnations for twenty odd years and have always been well pleased with the experience whether lunching with hordes of children or on more formal occasions in the evening. Only last Autumn we enjoyed one of the best Sunday lunches ever with great food and impressive service. Our experience at lunch today...

Thank you for taking the time to write about your visit with us, the fish finger sandwich is one of our most popular bar snacks, so I was surprised to read that there was only 1 fish finger in the sandwich, for this i can only apologise, however following your comment to the waitress another piece of fish was brought...

What a lovely hotel. We couldn't have checked in at a busier time with full service for Christmas Day lunch in full swing but staff were helpful and friendly in sorting our rooms. Each was beautifully designed, complimented the style of the hotel perfectly and very clean. Perfect for a night or two visited friends or relatives, touring the area...

I have stayed here before for both business and pleasure, and it is always good to go for certainty sometimes after a long and tiring journey- in my case from South west London. Conveniently located by the A49 (but with no noticeable traffic noise), the only real change this time was the move from the hotel restaurant for breakfast to...

Really enjoyed the food here. I had like a cheese and ham toastie and Hubby had a steak sandwich. Steak apparently was melt in the mouth and my toastie was crispy with nice ham and enough cheese. Service was okay. Nothing amazing. But we had been in the cafe round the corner and had great service, so after that it...
