Detailed Reviews
If you’re looking for rooms to stay for a night near the bus station or even near the airport, this place is a good choice. It’s affordable. Clean rooms too. There is also a big night market (specific days) and restaurants nearby so you don’t have to worry about where to eat for dinner.

Staff are very good, place is very good, but listen up.
Hong hub; 200m walk to bus station, 600m walk to Robinsons shopping centre (the biggest in town), which has everything a traveller needs; food ect, nearby mini big C....and you're close to the airport. There are loads of song tao, tuk tuk ect going from bus terminal into town during the day as long as the buses are coming to town....then they stop.
If you are based in town and happen to be out at Robinsons ect after hours you might have a problem getting back.
I was trying Dusit Hotel in town (no scooters available near, tried the mbike shops too) and came out to Robinsons, Saturday evening (7-ish) and had trouble getting back. Robinson staff got me a taxi (took about an hour, had a storm so very busy). All the other transport had gone home about 5-ish and I heard their are only 18 taxis in town.
I have stayed hong hub hotel a year ago and moved back out here next day. The staff organised a local hire scooter (there are no local companies).
I think it was a very good place a year ago and still is now.
It may seem a bit daunting on the map, being out at hong hub, but I think it's better than in town. It's much easier to get transport from in town to here, if you don't have a scooter.
Wanni (owner) has good English. She and her side-kick run a very tidy little place. TV air con ect cost 500bt / night. The intercity buses drive right past the door on the way in.
English is limited in Sakon but hey, if you don't like Sakon, from hong hub the bus is just 200m down the road.
Genuinely, I think, give this one a try.

I was only staying for one night so I did not travel around at all but this hotel was very convenient for me, there was a night market opposite, Tesco/Lotus was just up the road, also Big C, KFC etc, the hotel was clean, well organised, the room had a decent bathroom with soap, shampoo etc, it would be nice to see some English speaking TV but we are in Thailand and it is normal in most Thai hotels to have just Thai channels.

Stay here many times impressed every time, and this time not impressed at all, and need to write a review to improve the service, as if every time to book a room, the female staff receives a voice like it is unavailable because they say a request, ask a response, no problem, then check in with one of the employees (woman fuck), play the phone all the time, don't care about us asking a word (because it's just on the phone), the pique is when asking about Ryder's washing of clothes before he has.
