Very comfortable, clean and inexpensive. The hotel is in the Talat (city). They changed our towels, cleaned our room every day without asking. They give you 2 bottles of water a day in the refigerator. You can walk every where in the city and the buses (colored trucks) are readily available to go anywhere you want. The market, resturants and alot of stores are all in wialking distance. The water is plentiful and hot if you want. If I was to return to Sakon Nakhon, I would stay there again.

The hotel locates in downtown area. Guestroom is quite large. It was clean and well maintenance (although it was not a new hotel). Staff were friendly and willing to help. Wi-fi signal in my room on 3rd floor was not strong and need to be improved.

Easy to find in the city centre. Parking available next to the hotel. Very convenient as the restaurants we wanted to visit are all within walking distance. Standard rooms bit outdated (old windows) but very clean and airco/shower/toilet all in good condition. Good (hard) beds. Did not take breakfast or dinner in the restaurant. B.com and Agoda offered "deals" of 700 thb for a standard room; we paid 599 walk-in rate. Good wifi.

This hotel was better than we expected having read some reviews. Breakfast is good and we also had dinner one evening also good. There was no kettle in the room but free coffee is available in the lobby most of the day, and when we were too late for the coffee machine a man brought a flask of hot water to our room. We were able to walk to most places but if you want to go to robinsons you will need a songthaew.

Sakon Nakhon is void of 4-5 star hotels. Dusit is one of the best 3 star accommodations in town (Majestic (MJ) being the other). The Dusit has the advantages of being a smaller, quieter, facility with a 'homey' atmosphere. It is also located in the older part of town and very accessible to many family run, local restaurants. Exploring this part of town is fascinating. The standard rooms are quite basic, but the deluxe rooms have nice decor and are very comfortable and well appointed. The beds are comfortable, bathrooms are clean, good A/C, free wi-fi, and the service staff are very friendly. The only minor complaint is that the wardrobe closets are small and awkward. Overall, a pleasant stay.

Dusit hotel is located in the city center of Sakon Nakhon, close to many small shops, markets and restaurants. The outside looks like some maintenance (paint job) has been delayed for some time, but inside a friendly staff is waiting, speaking fairly good English, in a nice atmosphere. The room we had was spacious, good shower in rather small (but big enough) bathroom. At night it is rather quiet as if most daily activities have gone extinct. Dusit also has a airport taxi service at 200 Baht per person. Breakfast was not ncluded on our agoda booking. We really enjoyed our stay at Dusit hotel and might opt for it again at any future visit to Sakon Nakhon.

Second hotel of the trip. Chosen purely because it is so close to where I needed to be I can, however, appreciate it might not be as convenient for some of the key venues in Sakon Nakhon. However, it was not a disappointment. The room on the ground floor was perfectly ok, no noticeable noise, and it was clean. The shower room was a little on the small side and there wasn't the room to spread out toiletries but this was just a minor niggle. Also, for my preference the bed was a little firm but I slept well enough.

Wifi free, staff helpful and charming, price, at 650THB, just over half what I paid at the MJ although I don't think this included breakfast. The room was marginally smaller in Dusit but it had a minibar where the MJ did not.

No room safe

The metres is very strong in all type of room... the shower is inside the bathtub in de luxe room, just superior have shower without bathtub, but no king size bed and air conditioned are old stile, very noisy, just 1 towel for person. The man at the reception is rude ans not professional probably believed to be a riceptionist instead acts as a porter! With 50% of price can find many hotel better in the close area.....

The Dusit is an old hotel, suffering a little now with age. However the rooms were tidy and immaculately cleaned by the hotel staff every day. Entrance lobby to the hotel was particularly lovely.

The 'old part of town' is exactly where this hotel is located. There are lots of market areas and some interesting shops to visit within a stones throw from the hotel.

I stayed here for most of my time in Thailand and enjoyed my food at the hotel, eating breakfast here most days and occasionally evening meals also. The fruit drinks and the evening meals were particularly good.

English-speaking staff were not always available but they were extremely friendly and helped with almost all of my requests including taking me to the bus station, which someone thought was a clever idea to build miles away from the town. Also the hotel staff let me use one of their motorcycles (for a modest fee) and finally they took me back to the airport on my last day.

Probably the best hotel in Sakon Nakhon and would stay here again.

Spotless room with TV with a few foreign channels. Staff friendly but no use for information, don't know much, few understand English. Wi Fi is poor. Breakfast buffet is just adequate. If staying here bring your own toiletries, especially toilet paper.
