I went there with two of my close friends, we went there on a Friday, and man, we were surprised to have the resorts for ourselves. The pool, the pool table, the bar, the movie room, everything' it's as if we own the place. The staffs were super nice, and very accommodating. They even offered us to have a tour...

We really wanted to go to Bantayan Island after we had been to Cebu several times. It is a 6-hour drive from Cebu City with 1-hour ferry ride. We had booked at this hotel through reviews and chose to stay here. The owner, Ms. Maia is a Filipina and married to a German that is why our shuttle service going...

We spent two weekday nights and had the place all to ourselves. Excellent and friendly staff led by Jolebe (sp?) that make you feel right at home. The food was very good and reasonably priced. Motorbike rental is cheap and easy. There is cellular but. I wi-fi (this might be a pro!). Swimming pool is clean and pleasant to swim...

Very peaceful hideaway. I think its recommended for honeymooners and couple who want some privacy and peace and ever for solo travelers who don't want to be bothered by the noise in most beach resorts. It has this very unique coral garden and the bungalows are really pretty. The beach is not so nice though.

The beach, the cottages, the scenery and of course the food - very sumptuous. You feel full even by just staring at them on your table and most importantly the people - the crew, very accommodating & charming! The waves would lull you to sleep and the crisp, gush of seashore air can surely make you relax & escape from...

We wanted to try this place because it was considered as "family friendly"; We have 2 very active toddlers, and actually kept on running after them because the place, as beautiful as it is, is not toddlers proof. At all. The way to the swimming pool is a bridge over corals, and there is no barriers are useless. Any kid...

(TIP: If you’re looking for a place in Bantayan Island, FIRST, ask about the wind direction. So you know which part of the island’s beaches is clean. Explanation in my review below. Item #5.) Initially a second choice because first impressions on Maia’s were not that good. The website wasn’t set-up well – something that somehow affects my judgment on...

We'd never been to Bantayan before (or the Phillipines) so it was all a bit of a pot luck thing. We chose Maia's mostly from the decent reviews and the pool (we have 3 young kids) All i can say it was great. The staff (Maia and husband) et al were very friendly and accommodating and treated you like family....

Arriving at Bantayan Island on the ferry is lovely. The little Santa Fe town and resorts dotted among the coconut palms make for an idillic setting, but then you get picked up and whisked miles away from civilisation onto a part of the coast that is isolated. We found ourselves immediately pining to go back and explore the little town...
