Getting to the lodge, and leaving the lodge is a river raft adventure. The lodge is completely self sustaining and provides a near zero carbon footprint. The only electricity is in the reception, and is created on site from a water flow. The garbage is recycled into food for pigs and to grow new crops. The food comes from a... More

I stayed with my family on July 04 and 05 and we had an unforgettable vacation at this magic place. Our room, the Jaguar room, one of the best we have ever stayed. The food was excellent. Thank you to all the staff who made us feel special starting from the guides, and the GM. We will never forget our... More

This is a unique place. We arrived after a 2 hour rafting journey on the Pacuare river, dodging rapids with Sun Bittens and Morpho butterflies. You really are in a very remote location when you arrive. Even the staff have to take a basket over the river. The food is quite fantastic and we all loved it. The surprise is... More

This is an amazing National Geo property. It is only accessed by water rafting or cable basket to cross over river. The people are incredibly gracious, helpful, and knowledgeable. It is a unique experience not to be missed if you go to Costa Rica.

Had, NO, got to white water raft into and out of this gorgeous place. Magical place. Good food, great service, spotless, insect repellent at the front desk where electronics get plugged in. No electricity in the rooms, no wifi either except at reception desk so it really is a get away. The only issues I had were that we were... More

We had an awesome rafting adventure into this lodge with awesome and very experienced guides, the rapids were great and the scenery was even better. Once into the lodge we were promptly greeted with drinks and towels and a very kind staff. After checking into our room there were some issues which were promptly corrected by the staff and they... Our stay at the Pacuare Lodge was amazing. The property is beautiful and the staff were always welcoming and professional. During our stay we participated in several of the excursions, each was exciting and the staff assigned to us were well trained and friendly. As well, we also visited the spa, which we found to be very clean and definitely... More

Pacuare lodge is an absolute must. This was the first stop on our trip and by far the highlight. Each morning we had coffee delivered to our secluded suite, walked over to the main lodge to log onto wifi and charge our phones before having a first class breakfast. You are then given the ability to plan your own outings,... More

Arrived by whitewater raft. I thought we would be passengers but turned out we were crew! Fantastic way to arrive at hotel. Lodge was beautiful, set in lovely gardens surrounded by the river and rain forest. Stayed in a Linda Vista Suite, probably the most stunning hotel "room" I have ever been in although you have to get used to... More

Well not a single bad thing to say.. We were welcomed at the hotel in town by the guide who was very knowledgeable of the country.. When we were asked if we were rafting in or by car we quickly changed our mind to raft to the lodge as we didn't select this when we booked the hotel.. this was... More
