Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

A clean and super safe place to sleep for the night with kind hearted owners. The site was clean, neat and tidy when I stayed. The bathrooms were clean, showers with hot water and even a laundry room. The owner was so lovely and more than happy to make our stay as comfortable as possible. There is actual GRASS to pitch your tent and put the tent pegs in! AMAZING! (all other sites I've been to on this highway have been gravel). There are no other camp sites or roadhouses other than this one between Coolgardie and Norseman (200km), this is truly a safe haven for travellers. There's a bar in the roadhouse if you fancy a drink with friends & also cabin rooms with en suite, double rooms & single rooms for a low price. I would definitely stay here again and support this lovely family.

This pub is in the middle of no where, but a real nice place to stop at for a lunch or a beer. The manager was real pleasant, good menu and what we had to eat was very good and well priced. I Had a fish sandwich, which was plentiful and very tasty.

Highly recommend.

Stopped to stretch our legs and have a drink, clean friendly and with everything to offer. A tavern, accommodation and camping, food, snacks and some interesting information about the golden eagle nugget. Worth a stop.

This place is a little gem. Great place to stay Caz and Greg great hosts and very accommodating. Had a great home cooked roast pork dinner in the tavern. Made room for our caravan. Please ring to book a spot so you won’t miss out. Free washing machines and dryers.

Pulled in with our caravan for the night and had a meal in the tavern with a beer. The steak sandwich I would hardly see the steak in it....ordinary! Staff seemed to be under the pump, short staffed but friendly staff. OK for an overnighter.

Great place to stop for a Wiggie burger and chips and a chat. Very friendly staff and good service. You can see the Golen Nugget which was found in 1931 by a 16 year old boy. Petrol available. Not much else around but a spot to rest for a little while. Love supporting locals.

Hospitable service and enjoyed the Widgie burger. Cabin accom basic as expected but ok. Played the Par 3 hole golf. Interesting walk around the town site before the highway bypass and history of flourishing gold days.

This is my second time stopping and staying overnight at Widgiemooltha.
What I have found that they are doing their best to freshen up the place. I have noticed the showers have been all replaced including new sinks and taps and a fresh coat of paint.
But one thing has not changed is the good service and the food.

Slowly but surely the hotel owners are trying to improve facilities around the old roadhouse and campsite.
My stay was only in one of the few powered sites available for caravans or camping as was seen during my recent visit, the main comment from me is that if you are pushing the roadhouse as a proper stop for caravans then clean the place up, ensure all have a power and water outlet especially as most vans will have either just crossed the Nullarbor or will be about to, there are no water issues at this location.
The one thing all people must remember about round this area is there are pretty much mining trucks running at all hours as well as general freight within 100metres of the roadhouse so prepare for noise at night time.

Went thru and had an unplanned stayed early July. Rooms were minesite donga style and very basic....but very clean and tidy and very cheap making them excellent value.....even had large bath sheet size towels. Upgraded to an larger room with en-suit which was done with no fuss by the staff. Food in the bar was good and plenty of it...had the lasagna special and went back after hours to watch a late night world cup soccer game with some of the staff. Breakfast was cooked exactly how each of us wanted it by staff that took time to ask. A simple honest venue that is made that much richer by the people that staff it...well worth the money and experience.
