An amazing experience had by all. We were fortunate to have Josias, John and driver Mikey as our guides for our 3 night adventure. Eagle eye local John was able to spot wildlife as small as a poison dart frog from metres away and sloths, toucans for miles, Josias scooped up a Cayman with his bare hands and we had so...

I cannot say enough about my experience in the Amazon. As a single woman traveler, I am confident in recommending this company to those like me. The team provides comprehensive services from the time you arrive at the airport in Iquitos until you return back to the airport at the end of your stay. They even helped me to book...

The Otorongo Expeditions Jungle Lodge is the real deal. In the heart of the Peruvian Amazon it offers an exceptional jungle experience. The guide, Josias, is one of the best ever -- a native, fluent in English, and eyes that can spot a camouflaged iguana in a tree at 200 meters. The food is beyond expectations -- heart of palm...

We spent 4 nights and 5 days at the Otorongo Expeditions Jungle Lodge. It is an experience of a lifetime with longboat rides every day through the flooded rain forest, looking for wildlife like three-toed sloths, monkeys, caiman, pink dolphins, vultures and egrets and vegetation like medicinal plants, flowers, giant lilies and an 800 year old tree complete with swinging...

My son and I spent 3 nights at Otorongo in early March with an interest in birds and really enjoyed it. We happened to get Josias ( sp?) for our guide and he is an excellent bird guide. We saw around 130 species. The bugs were not bad. The food was great. As advertised, you can plan your time there...

My two week stay at Otorongo lodge was absolutely incredible! Anthony, Ivy, and their staff provided comfortable, homey accommodations, fresh, delicious meals, and expert naturalist guides that truly made every effort to ensure I saw and experienced everything I could think of and then some. I would highly recommend Otorongo Expeditions to anyone looking to intimately explore the Amazon. When...

I have stayed at the Otorongo lodge two times now with a large group. The lodge staff are great at making you feel at home and comfortable. Each group that stays there receives they're own personal guide. Because our group was larger we had several guides, and each one of them possessed incredible knowledge about the amazon and the flora...

I was with Otorongo expeditions for two weeks on a school trip for two weeks and it was absolutely amazing. The guides are extremely friendly and knowledgeable, the food is excellent, the rooms while basic are very clean and comfortable. The owner Tony and his family are excellent people and Tony and his guides will go out of their way...

We stayed 4 nights. Unique experience for nature lovers. Excellent guides, welcoming staff, delicious food. Bring plemty of repellent and sun protection, rain coat and a strong zoom. A fan (even 12v) would be my number 1 suggestion.

Thank you for your review, yes the heat has been unsupportable. We recommend as many cold showers as you can after your excursions. Thanks for your visit and I am sorry I was not at the lodge to meet and entertain!

I had a 4days/3nights trip with this company without any plan but Anthony (the owner) did an excellent job to propose different things to do. Finally we have seen a lot of animals (river dolphins, monkeys, birds, fishes, insects, frogs, etc) and the guides were very knowledgable about the rainforest and how to survive in it. The food was great...
